We raise funds from a variety of local events and donate to charities and educational causes both in the UK and overseas.

The Friends of Weston School (FoWS) actively raises funds to supply essential educational resources and facilities not covered by government funding or the school's budget. This includes technology enhancements, playground improvements, performance areas, learning tools, and additional classroom space, aiming to enrich the overall learning experience for students within our local community.

1st Park Street Scout Group provides an opportunity for local residents, in particular children aged between 6 years and 14 years to join in with 'Scouting' activities. This includes helping to build valuable life skills, as well as having fun through a balanced program of activities.

Fundraising for School

We operate premises for the use of local organisations, especially ones providing activities for young people.

Aspire Powerchair Sports Club was established in 2002. It was set-up to enable young people who use powered wheelchairs the opportunity to play football.Aspire Powerchair Sports Club provide sporting opportunities through powerchair football. There are opportunities at every level from recreational right to the top.

Christmas fair, Summer BBQ and Quiz Night.

As a mixed adult choir of some 50 members we sing from a wide-ranging repertoire. We perform 3 or 4 public concerts a year, encouraging young soloists and student orchestras to perform with us. We keep our ticket prices as low as possible, with free seats for children. We aim to bring the joy of music, whether performing or listening, to as wide a cross-section of the public as possible.

PROVIDE FACILITIES AND FINANCIAL GRANTS TO INDIVIDUALS, SCHOOLS AND OTHER ORGANISATIONS CONNECTED TO YOUTH SPORT

Singing workshops and community music events for adults and children: Sharing Voices Project ( The Memory Notes - singing group for those with memory loss and their carers, training; Singing For Breathing - singing group for those with chronic lung health problems ); community workshops and events.

To present the christian faith in the area of Northeast Hertfordshire (adjoining Cambridgeshire to the north and Essex to the East, including the two main towns of Royston and Buntingford and surrounding villages) for the benefit of young people by working with schools and by helping young people come to an understanding of the christian faith today through open enquiry.

The Group is an educational charity established under rules that are common within The Scout Association. It has Beaver, Cub and Scout sections, which are based at The Scout Hut, Queens Road, Gossoms End, Berkhamsted, HP4 3HU.

The charity continues to raise funds and distribute them in line with its objectives.It continues to be run by members of the Rotary Club of Hitchin Priory.

The Sawbridgeworth Trust helps those in need, especially the elderly. It also helps in educational visits. We as trustees are very mindful of people not being able to replace general household appliances. Childrens clothing has been another area of need, especially School Uniforms. The Charity also makes an grant at Christmas to all those within their area to help with extra finances at this parti

Activities for young children

The Scheme provides a practical semi-emergency service for those who do not have family or good neighbours to help them. We can arrange transport to medical appointments, collect prescriptions, shopping, befriending, odd jobs in the garden and home, etc.
