The charity superintends the management of Benington Village Hall, Hertfordshire. During the year the hall housed a large number of Benington secular clubs and societies and provided facilities for parish church out-reach. It constitutes, for all practical purposes, the social hub of the village. Year 2012 has seen major progress towards an annexe which increases the hall's area by one third.

FOCS ARE CURRENTLY RAISING FUNDS TO HELP SUPPORT THE SCHOOL FINANCIAL (BOOKS, STATIONARY) SCHOOL. EVENTS TO BE HELD THIS YEAR INCLUDE DISCO'S; CINEMA NIGHT; COFFEE MORNINGS; CHRISTMAS AND SUMMER FAYRE

1. Promotion of the study of all branches of natural history and all matters relating to the conservation of flora, fauna, habitats and geological features in Hertfordshire. In particular to record and monitor the occurrence,distribution and status all forms of wildlife and how this changes over time and to publish the results.2. Encourage participation in these activities

Provision of free face to face debt advice, budgeting and benefit's advice.

Promotion of professionally performed chamber music concerts for the borough of Welwyn Garden City and the surrounding area.

To Provide Scouting Activities predominately for boys and girls in the northchurch area.

Fundraising and social activities to support the educational experience of the children of Northaw School.

The Charity distributes grants to individuals in financial need in Hertford and the parishes of the rural district. Nominees come from local organizations such as the CAB, Social Services, NHS Primary Care trust and the local churches. The grants can be released very quickly on the verbal agreement of 3 trustees and the grants are later formally approved at a trustee meeting.

Girl Guiding - activities for girls aged 5 - 20

We provide a safe and supportive work and social environment, where adjustments are made so our neurodiverse team can receives training in the repair of IT and computer equipment for resale which provides them with paid work experience opportunities assisting them with leaving more independent and productive lives.

Girlguiding is dedicated to creating a better world for girls and young women. We empower girls, we give them space to grow and we ensure hat each one of them can get involved - no matter what their background or ability. Hertford District Guide Association, also known as Girlguiding Hertford District provides local Girlguiding activities in Hertford and local villages.

RAISING MONEY BY WAY OF QUIZES, FASHION SHOWS ETC. FOR MAINLY LOCAL CHARITIES

The FTS exisits to provide support for Ponsbourne St Mary's School near Hertford. We run events for the children, organise Christmas Card Projects, run discos, help with the May Fayre, sell second hand uniform - anything to raise funds for the school and have fun!

The 5th Harpenden Scout Group will carry out activities as agreed by the Scouting Association.The purpose of scouting is to contribute to the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potentials, as individuals, as responsible citizens ans as members of their local, national and international communities.

provides free and subsidised basic introductory computer training in public access venues to meet the needs of people of all ages and abilities, including the disadvantaged (whether through disability, homelessness, social exclusion, or unemployment). This basic training is available to anyone over the age of 16 living in St Albans and District and very suitable for older people.

THE COLLEGE OFFERS CARE AND EDUCATION TO GIRLS BETWEEN THE AGES OF THREE AND EIGHTEEN WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE CHRISTIAN FAITH. BOARDING FACILITIES ARE AVAILABLE.

To organise fund-raising events for the benefit of children at Hillshott Infant School & Nursery

The Charity owns and runs to discreet areas in Hatfield as recreational fields. One site is at Birchwood Leisure Centre and has football pitches, the other site is de Havilland Grange off Cornflower Way, Hatfield and is laid out as a meadow with pathways and shrubs.
