Our focus is on projects concerned with energy use with the long term objective of making the community self sufficient in energy through the installation of renewable technologies to increase local electricity generation capacity while reducing demand. We will share learning from our projects as widely as possible. In addition, we will also be seeking to reduce energy poverty in the community.

The charity runs a small shop within the Adelaide complex to provide elderly and disabled clients the opportunity of personally purchasing small everyday items and treats. It also holds raffles and competitions with proceeds helping to purchase little luxuries such as televisions for bedrooms, regular live entertainers and Christmas presents and treats for the clients resident at Christmas.

Rotary on the Wight is an integral part of Rotary International in Britain and Ireland (RIBI). The club meets regularly on the Isle of Wight and organises local events to raise funds for charitable giving for local people in need and for international and national causes sponsored by RIBI.

The principal aim of the Shed is to promote social inclusion via the provision of a facilityparticularly for, but not exclusively for, men. This involves a weekly get together, working on community and personal projects, talks and visits.

Stanswood Beach Rescue is a charity that safes lives from the beaches at Stanswood Bay and Calshot spit. Providing Lifeguard, Rescue boat cover and first aid. Stanswood Beach Rescue is a training centre of excellence for lifeguarding.Working with the community, Stanswood Beach Rescue provides water safety education.

Church of England

Portsmouth Breast Cancer Friends provides a local in-person support group and online support for people after a breast cancer diagnosis. Anyone living or having treatment in the Portsmouth area of the UK is eligible for support. The group meets monthly. It helps people to access companionship, support, accurate and up-to-date information, and signposting to appropriate services.

Brighstone Playing Field is held on trust for a recreation ground for the benefit of the inhabitants of the Parish of Brighstone and is administered by the trustees for that purpose. The Field has a football pitch, cricket ground, two tennis courts, a pavilion and an enclosed playground area for younger children.

The Nansen Hill Recreation Ground is a Site of Special Scientific Interest which features valuable chalk downland. It is one of the best viewpoints on the Isle of Wight. The charity exists to manage this area.
