We are an independent, voluntary, non profit charity that supports The Spires Cleft Centre at Salisbury District Hospital and The John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford and the patients and their families who are treated there. With your help every penny and effort goes to help the Spires Cleft Team, along with a multitude of activities and items for all local cleft children and their families.

The Nansen Hill Recreation Ground is a Site of Special Scientific Interest which features valuable chalk downland. It is one of the best viewpoints on the Isle of Wight. The charity exists to manage this area.

Supporting and developing music education on the Isle of Wight

The charity runs a small shop within the Adelaide complex to provide elderly and disabled clients the opportunity of personally purchasing small everyday items and treats. It also holds raffles and competitions with proceeds helping to purchase little luxuries such as televisions for bedrooms, regular live entertainers and Christmas presents and treats for the clients resident at Christmas.

We are a Sailing School for the disabled, specifically for people with mobility difficulties. We offer sailing tutition in a unique modified keelboat with fully supportive canting seat and a system enabling the student to sail by mouth via a single straw, a sip-puff system

The relief of the deserving aged and necessitous person resident in the Parishes of Freshwater and Totland in the Isle of Wight and for the relief of poverty of poor persons resident in the said Parishes as the Trustees shall in the absolute discretion think best.

Raising awareness, providing arts and crafts packs for children's oncology wards, To offer 'fresh air days' by providing children's oncology wards with tickets to local amenities for the use of families affected by childhood cancer.

The group meets once a month. It is an important social gathering for the membership who are elderly. We have interesting speakers and include sessions learning crafts. We have outings to places of interest with educational input. We support the work of the IOW Ability Dogs for young people.

We have added to our museum's features a DVD player with film of the historic buildings in the village and a free footpath guide for visitors to follow. We use one of our display cabinets for local displays of interest - this year we had a display for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee, also on the history of the telephone.
