Laamiga is a voluntary community organisation run by women for women who want to become financially independent and gain more meaningful employment. Laamiga's mentors work with mentees to help them improve their self-confidence and sense of wellbeing. Bible Studies:This is open to the general public and at the short meetings, the word of God are shared. The Bible is explained in more details and the beneficiaries have the opportunity to ask any question that they need clarifications about.It gives the people a local Church where they could be inspired through Bible teaching and a medium that could create a meeting point for socialisation

The income of the charity is to be distributed by the trustees in such manner as they shall see fit among ordained clergy serving or employed within seven London deaneries viz City of London, Southwark, Islington, Bermondsey, Tower Hamlets, Hackney and Lambeth deaneries, and seven other central London parishes viz St Ann Westminster, St Clement Danes, St James Westminster, St Giles in the Fields

We campaign on behalf of pensioners. Give advice through our monthly newsletter, have monthly town hall meetings with prominent speakers on wide subjects, organise day trips, participate in other events such as fund raising for worthy causes, signpost to older people's services, and also campaign in support of the National Pensioners Convention.

Raise money for the school via cake sales, summer and winter fairs, special events and organise and fund fun and social events for the children and parents. To work with the school to try and secure funding from various sources for improvements to the school and grounds. Also to liaise between parents and the school where parents don't feel able to approach the school directly themselves.

Newington Green Action Group is an all-volunteer, grassroots charity. We have been around for more than 20 years. We played a big role in reviving Newington Green but as the area has changed, so has our focus.We are now prioritising our community cohesion work and concentrating on making Newington Green a good place to live for all - especially our most vulnerable residents.

Running a community garden, involving all the local community through education, recreation and social activities

The charity provides empowerment and self-development workshops to underprivileged youths. This is done in partnership with local community clubs and schools. The main area that the charity operates is London and surrounding areas.

We run sessions every Saturday morning at Hornsey Road Children's Centre from 10:30 to 2pm, with resources and facilities to aid creativity and sensory needs of autistic children. The children have free play/craft activity, soft play and lunch. Once a month we have a special activity: outing, workshop or entertainer. Parents are given the opportunity to join a support group.
