The Trust owns and runs Brook Rural Museum. The Museum is housed in a magnificent 14th century barn and an important early 19th century oast house, and is devoted to an important collection of objects relating to the agriculture of Kent. Most of the collection relates to the period when animals provided the main source of power for farm work.

Museum for the benifit of the public

The Hope Street Centre provides a range of services to the local community including employment support, computer training, advice sessions, volunteering and volunteer training opportunities, work experience and training placements for adults with learning disabilities and other community led activities based on the needs of the community.

Pre-school for children from Two and a half to rising five.

Home-Start offers support, friendship and practical assistance to families with at least one child under the age of five. Unpaid volunteers visit families struggling under the pressure of bringing up small children, helping them to avoid crisis and enjoy family life.

The main aim of the charity is to promote animal welfare and prevent cruelty, with an emphasis on the Philippines. We rescue rehabilitate and rehome domestic animals, we finance and support a veterinary hospital in the Philippines, we run an education programme in schools and support and work with other charities around the world with comparable aims and objectives.

Supporting the Scout Groups within Malling District of Kent.

The Gibbons Family Trust awards grants to children and young people up the age of 25 living in Devon (with preference for East Devon) and in the Isle of Thanet, Kent. Grants can be made for the education, training, recreation and general welfare of young people (but not private school fees). Registered charities, organisations, and individuals (references are required) are eligible to apply.

Providing care & early ylears education

The Charity provides low cost housing for retired people with a low income that live in Folkestone.

To provide items, services, facilities and opportunities for the Duke of Yorks Royal Military School and pupils of the School. To promote the education of pupils and former pupils of the School who are in need of financial assistance and to advance the education of pupils attending the School by the award of prizes and such other charitable purposes as the trustees shall from time to time see fit.
