Providing accomodation for elderly people in Whitstable, Kent.

To raise money on a local basis for distribution to youth, elderly, disabled and any other person or organisation requiring charitable assistance in the Tonbridge and District area.

To relieve the suffering and distress of animals in need of care and attention in north-west Kent in any or all of the following ways:a)to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome stray, abandoned and unwanted animals.b)to provide long term foster care for homeless animals.c)to provide veterinary treatment, vaccination, neutering and spaying where necessary.

Girlguiding activities

St James' major activity has been the support of evangelism within the local community parish. The church has also supported missions at home and abroad.

Resource centre open 3 days a week for the disabled and families to socialise and undertake craft activities.

WWBC provides its members and visitors with the facilities to pursue lawn bowls activity, this enables participants the opportunity for healthy recreation. A full playing programme is organised, catering for all skill levels, from beginner to experienced player. Coaching is available. Open days are organised for the public to join "taster" sessions. All equipment is provided free.

The charity's general object is the advancement of education of children and students. The charity is sponsor of Temple Grove Academy Trust, which runs Temple Grove Academy in Tunbridge Wells; and has endowed the primary phases of 3 academies in south east London in partnership with the Haberdashers' Aske's Federation. It seeks other opportunities in primary education.

Activities included the maintenance and conservation of the Standen Fruit Farm Orchard, including grazing, mowing, pruning, protecting trees, picking fruit and holding an Apple Day for invited members of the public to pick fruit on the Association?s plot, to make apple juice and to sample cider and honey from the orchard.

The BRIDGES Centre is a Christian project intended to be available to serve all members of the community and build bridges between all sections of it. The core use is as a pop in centre but it is also available for such groups as schoolchildren after school, young people during the evening, people learning household and cookery skills, and arts and crafts and the appreciation of them.
