For the public benefit, the prevention or relief of poverty in India and Kenya by the provision of food, clothing and any other essential items and services required to meet the basic standard of living.

The African Bird Club gives grants to individuals and groups in African countries to support a wide range of small to medium-sized projects there that benefit the conservation of African birds or their habitats. Our website is the primary online source for all things to do with African birds. We also publish a twice-yearly, peer-reviewed bulletin, and we are developing a series of birding apps.

We empower lives through learning and strengthening communities in the UK and Kenya. In the UK, we engage people of all ages in activities, partnerships, mutual learning and volunteering. In Kenya, we provide access to books, construction of libraries and learning centres, education, and community-led projects. We create lasting impact in both countries.

BBK travel to Kenya and select a needy church, orphanage or school and work with the person in charge to improve the basic conditions. BBK have built kitchens, libraries, provided healthcare, given food, clothes, beds, bedding to the poor. BBK has built homes for orphans. The charity provide school uniforms and equipment for those in need. Funds are used in a practical way to show the love of God.

Mustard Seed Project is working in a deprived area of urban Mombasa, Kenya. We have a built a primary school for 330 children aged three to 14 with a feeding programme and outstanding academic results. We are also sponsoring many of our poorest children to go to secondary school. Our original group of three year olds have just completed secondary in 2023.

KOFUP supports local community initiatives to provide for orphans and/or destitute children in Kenya and Uganda.

The Charity's principal activity is to facilitate the provision of post-graduate level higher education and the study of law by individuals from the continent of Africa.

EHM works in the area of the propagation of the gospel, spreading the Christian message and doing religious activities. Picturing Health uses film and art in Public Health worldwide. We make films to train health workers, inform patients, promote community discussion and disseminate research findings. We evaluate the effectiveness of our work and build capacity of film makers and clinicians to make health films. Our partners include WHO, Medical Research Council, hospitals and international research institutes.

Missionary Ventures (MVGB) is an interdenominational Christian charity that serves and equips national churches to reach their nations with the love and message of Jesus Christ. We partner with British churches, individuals and organisations, motivating and facilitating their involvement in the mission field, mainly through sending short-term mission teams and raising funds for strategic projects.

Soroptimist International Foundation is a global organisation collecting appeal donations from 5 member Federations and the public. The Foundation makes grants to providers that educate, empower and enable women and girls. Projects and programmes are funded in countries where need has been identified to improve the lives of women and girls.

Soberistas CIO provides a social network website offering peer support to people who wish to stop drinking alcohol. The Soberistas website features blogs, a forum, a chat room and multiple additional resources intended to inspire, educate and motivate its members to maintain an alcohol-free life.

Friends of Conservation operates in Kenya, conserving wildlife species and habitats, encouraging communities to value their environment and ensuring they benefit through programmes including education, health and enterprise. We also support like-minded partners working in other parts of Africa, Asia and South & Central America and encourage responsible tourism, which brings many benefits.

The objects of the Charity are to advance education by providing funding and support for the developmentof educational provision around the world, in particular but not exclusively by coordinating building projectsand teaching programmes in a way which is consistent with the charitable objects of the DLS Trust.
