The Dewsbury & District Third Age provides friendly informal classes for people over fifty in an inclusive environment in Dewsbury and its surrounding areas.

Promotion of orchestras and other musical groups in the Kirklees area in order to promote the study, practice and performance of musical works by way of concerts and other methods of performance.

The group takes part in scouting activities organised by District County and National eg Camps, trips abroad. Awards and badges are gained. The group is run for the good of the young people in accordance with the Scout Association POR.

The Community seeks to relieve poverty by providing practical help to the poor and destitute in the form of food, clothing emergency financial assistance for utilities as well as providing support through home and nursing home visits.The Community serve the poor and wider public through prayer and spiritual instruction and encouragement, including monthly prayer groups and retreats.

Establish and run a community centre and with association with local inhabitants, local authorities and voluntary organisations, provide activities to advance education and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life for the inhabitants of Longwood and the surrounding area.

SWAP Rehabilitation and Resettlement assists potentially homeless prison leavers and homeless offenders referred by Probation and Police Prolific Offender Team.Our Change of Lifestyle Program, addressing mental health and drugs/alcohol addiction, assists the transition from prison to successful community living. Our education projects are helping those with little/no education to build confidence.

The charity's aims are to preserve and protect the health of newborn babies by providing or assisting in the provision of neonatal equipment and transport equipment.

THE TRUSTEES MANAGE 8 BUNGALOWS WHICH ARE FOR THE OVER 60'S WHO LIVE IN THE PARISH'S OF WOODHOUSE & BRADLEY OR HAVE CONNECTIONS WITH THEM.

The Cricket Asylum Foundation provides an inclusive opportunity for disadvantaged people to participate in the game of cricket to make a positive difference to the community. We have taster Sessions aimed at primary schools and youth groups, offer a scholarship programme and coach groups and individuals bespoke to the participants needs, we deliver where best suited for the recipient.
