ARTS for BRIGHOUSE is a charity aiming to promote public appreciation of the arts to the residents & visitors of Brighouse, West Yorkshire on a not-for-profit basis. Our charity's objectives are unique in the catchment area; developing and providing opportunities, residencies, volunteer roles and paid performances to artists in all aspects of the performing and visual arts

The Village Hall is maintained by our charity to provide activities compatible with our charity aims. Includes running groups for the good of the local community, such as friendship groups, events such as seasonal fairs, entertainment eg ceilidh, coffee mornings, music, Christmas day dinner for those who may be alone. Hall is hired out for activities such dance, yoga, zumba, pilates,kurling,etc

Kumon Y?all empowers young people to be flag bearers of positive change in their community, Dewsbury.In the past year, we have utilised the energies of 60+ youth for projects that build bridges between the fragmented sections of our community and its surrounding areas. Using sport, We attracted the youth to create projects showing unity in the community.Projects gained regional and national awards

We set this charity up as a group of 18 students aiming to raise the funds needed to go out to Sri Lanka to help disadvantaged communities and people in need out there. Before the expedition we will be focussing on raising the money needed for the running of the charity and the aim of the charity to get out to Sri Lanka.

Shared Goods supports asylum seekers and refugees living in Kirklees by supplying them with donated clothes and household goods which have been donated, and toiletries and underwear which are new. One part-time worker runs a "free shop" with the help of volunteers, many of whom themselves come from the client community.
