To provide transport facilities in the Holme Valley, West Yorkshire, for people who have need of such a facility because they are elderly, poor or disabled, people with young children or those living in isolated areas where there are no adequate public facilities to enable such persons to attend primary healthcare facilities for essential and/or routine healthcare and treatment

Hilal BCS is ran and led by group of volunteers which mainly consist of members of the community. The objective of the organisation is to provide benefits to members of the community in the North of England by the advancement of education; the provision of recreational, religious and leisure time activities, with its main objective of improving the conditions of life for the said persons.

The Land Charity manages ten parcels of land across the Holme Valley which were exhausted stone quarries originally awarded to Holme Valley Parish Council, which remains the sole corporate Trustee of the Land Charity. Its purpose is to promote such charitable purposes for the general benefit of the inhabitants of the parish of Holme Valley as the trustee thinks fit.

Maintenance & upkeep of Birdsedge Village Hall through fundraising and social activities to enable the hall to be used a Village focal point for the residents of Birdsedge & surrounding areas. Main activities include rental of the Hall for group activities, sale of promotional items, Birdsedge Festival and social functions.

Distributing funds to students undertaking degree courses living within the Darton Area of Barnsley and the Flockton Area of Kirklees.

The objects of The Choir shall be:- To advance, improve, develop and maintain public education in, and appreciation of, the art and science of music in all its aspects by any means that the trustees feel fit, including through the presentation of public concerts and recitals;- To further such charitable purpose or purposes as the trustees see fit.

Our primary purpose is to prevent social isolation, particularly in older men, within the communities of Denby Dale and its surrounding villages. We provide a materials based workshop equipped with tools, machinery and facilities, necessary for woodworking, light engineering and associated hobbies and practical interests. Men can make and repair, working individually or in teams.

Provision of low cost housing for the elderly

To relieve children in need particularly those living on the streets and in sewers, also orphanages/hospitals in Romania by providing them with aid that is not available in their own country. Including example in date food, childrens and adults clothing, toys, educational items (writing books/pens etc), basic medical supplies (plasters etc), toiletries and of course money when available

Vocal Expressions is a ladies choir, based in the Holme Valley, West Yorkshire. It meets its objectives through public concerts, singing at other charities' events, & at weddings. The choir's varied repertoire includes traditional & folk songs; classical and religious music and songs from musical shows.
