Friends of Denby School is a PTA, that organises fundraising events based at Denby First School to raise funds to provide additional curricular resources and non curricular activities to the benefit of all pupils.

The object of the charity is the provision of funds to or for the relief of the poor and needy or to or for such other charitable purpose, institution society or object, as the rotary club of Holmfirth shall, in duly constituted meeting, from time to time decide.

Relieving or preventing financial hardship or suffering to any widow widower or dependent of a deceased person occasioned by the death as the direct result of an accidentto any person at any time employed at Lofthouse Colliery or at any other colliery in the area of the Yorkshire Coalfield.In

Raising money for the PTA school through events: disco, DVD projection, fairs, educational events, charity events.

To advance in life and help young people in Honley and surrounding areas through:(a) The provision of recreational and leisure time activities provided in the interest of social welfare, designed to improve their conditions of life;(b) Providing support and activities which develop their skills, capacities and capabilities to enable them to participate in society as mature and responsible

sport and recreation

To provide or assist in the provision of facilities for recreation and other leisure time occupation in the interests of social welfare with the object of improving their conditions of life for the inhabitants of the area of benefit in particular but not exclusively by the preservation, promotion, support, assistance and improvement of Bradley Park in Huddersfield.

Community Association

To fundraise to provide extra support to school via sponsored events,donations,commission through boolk fairs,uniform sales etc.

To futher the education of children and young people under the age of 25 in Pakistan.To relieve persons, whether or not they are resident or temporarily resident in Pakistan, but in particular, citizens of Pakistan, who are in conditions of need, hardship or distress by reason of their social and economic circumstances.To educate, relieve and rehabilitate disabled persons of any age.

Penistone Ladies' Choir aims to develop an awareness and appreciation of music, particularly choral music, by means of public concerts and recitals. The Choir helps to foster community spirit and fellowship in music through joint performance with other individuals and musical groups and to encourage younger musicians to perform as part of our concerts in order to give them valuable experience.

The orchestra consisting of mostly amateur players provides concerts to the general public and gives young local soloists opportunities to perform in front of an audience. Members include students as well as players in full time employment and is open to new members in the region who can play a classical instrument with an interest in classical music.

The objects of the Rotary Club of Calverley Charitable Trust Fund are:The prevention or relief of poverty for the public benefit;The advancement of education, citizenship and community development;The relief of those in need by reason of youth, age, ill-health or disability_the objects will principally be for the public benefit in West Yorkshire but may extend worldwide according to need

MEETINGS, LECTURES & DISCUSSIONS. WE HELP WITH LOCAL NEEDS, BOTH FINANCIALY AND WITH PERSONAL TIME AND EFFORT.

St Johns Home & School Association is generally run by Parents and carers of Children within school.It arranges various fund raising activities throughout the year to help raise extra funds to buy materials and equipment for use of the whole school comunity.

PROVIDE FACILITIES IN THE INTEREST OF SOCIAL WELFARE FOR RECREATION AND LEISURE-TIME OCCUPATION WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE FOR THE DISABLED INHABITANTS OF ALMONDBURY AND THE SURROUNDING NEIGHBOURHOOD

To educate the public in the dramatic & operatic arts to further the development of public appreciation and tasks of the said arts. To assist and further such charitable institutions and purposes from any surplus funds raised from our productions as the committee from time to time shall determine.

CHARGES GROUND RENTS

Friends of Scholes School operates to raise additional funds for Scholes Junior & Infant School.

LEAP enables students [14 to 19] to set up their own companies for a year, learning business skills, teamwork and problem solving. The programme helps them gain confidence and skills, which helps them with interviews for jobs and/or University. LEAP is run by volunteers from schools and local businesses.

Carrying out research projects. Organising conferences, fieldtrips and other events for the general public. Publishing books and leaflets relevant to the charity's objects.

Raise money to use in an educational manner to benefit every pupil of the school.

Bowling Club

FOSS organises fundraising events which are for the benefit of all children who attend Shelley First School. All funds raised are re-invested back into the school, they are used to contribute to activities organised by school, make other purchases that would be otherwise unaffordable and contribute towards the annual Creative Week. All activities take place in and around the school premises
