ACTIVIES FOR YEAR 07/08 INCLUDED FLY TYING COURSE AND PLANTING OF A FRUIT AND NUT HEDGE TO PROVIDE A WILD-LIFE HABITAT AND ALSO A WILLOW ARBOUR BENCH FOR PEOPLE TO ENJOY. WE HAVE ALSO BEEN WORKING ON WALKING LEAFLETS TO PROVIDE BOTH LOCALS AND VISITORS WITH CIRCULAR ROUTES THEY MAY WISH TO TAKE THROUGH OUR COUNTRYSIDE. WE ALSO HELD A BREATHING PLACES OPEN DAY AND TOOK PART IN THE VILLAGE GALA DAY

Promote and conserve the heritage and environment of Tottington and District

To support the activity of bell ringing at SS Peter and Paul, Parish Church, Ormskirk. Expenditure can be made on the bells and bell frame maintenance, bell ropes, ringing chamber requirements, supporting the teaching of bell ringing.

Collection of annual subscriptions from schools within the Salford Roman Catholic Diocese which have agreed to participate in the Building Project Scheme. The funds collected are then used to finance the Governor's proportion of any approved building project undertaken by a participating school.

PROVISION OF AN EMERGENCY PRE-HOSPITAL IMMEDIATE MEDICAL CARE SERVICE AT THE REQUEST OF THE NORTH WEST AMBULANCE SERVICE. THE CHARITY RAISES MONEY TO BUY EQUIPMENT AND PAY FOR TRAINING FOR PRE-HOSPITAL PRACTITIONERS IN THE LANCASHIRE AND MANCHESTER AREAS OF THE UK TO ENABLE THEM TO VOLUNTEER THEIR SERVICES TO THIS AIM AS WELL AS COORDINATING THEIR GOVERNANCE AND TRAINING.

The principal activity of the charity is to advance the education of the general public in matters relating to the history, the natural environmental and social and cultural development of Pendle and its surrounding areas and their inhabitants.

The object of the charity is to advance the education of the public by the development, preservation and display of collections relating to the history of the practice of medicine, public health and healthcare in Lancaster and environs and to promote interest in the history of medicine for the benefit of the public.

The Charity aims to enhance the environment within the Yarrow catchment and provide educational opportunities to the public and local schools through obtaining finance for and implementing individual projects on the river Yarrow and it's tributaries (e.g. provision of fish passes), monitoring water quality, arranging guided walks for members and presentations to local schools.
