Religious activities

The activity of the Charity is to promote and advance through community and voluntary work the social welfare, good health, cultural, social educational and economic wellbeing of the Bangladeshi communities based in Burnley and Pendle and other established communities throughout Lancashire.

The Trust provides and maintains gospel halls for the religious activities of Christians often referred to as 'Brethren'. Meetings held at these gospel halls include the Lord's Supper (Communion), Gospel preachings, Bible readings and Bible addresses. The Gospel Hall is a base from which a large number of preachers operate to spread the Christian Gospel, in word and deed.

Provide subsidised accomodation for over 60s.

We accept donations of preloved baby equipment, we then clean & maintain them, then through a referral system we donate to families in need/struggling. We raise funds to support us to be able to provide new toiletries, nappies, formula and maternity items , along side providing new mattresses with all cots, cotbeds, &moses baskets. We work with health professionals, education and social care

The main activities undertaken during the period i was the holding of weekly church meetings and events and occasional guest events.

To provide rented accomodation to poor persons who were born in, or are inhabitants of Rossendale.

The income and capital from this fund is to be applied to the upkeep, repair and improvement of churches whose congregations are members of the Association and to the maintenance of services and otherwise furthering the religious, educational and charitable work of the Association.

To provide financial or other aid to universities, colleges, schools, community and youth groups and religious institutions particularly in Lancashire and Cheshire to promote research and to further chaitable community and youth projects.

The principle activity of the Team is assisting the Police, Fire and Ambulance Services. We assist in the search for and evacuation of casualties who the other Emergency Services may be unable to assist.

FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT, THE RELIEF OF THOSE IN NEED BECAUSE OF FINANCIAL HARDSHIP OR OTHER DISADVANTAGE INCLUDING, BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY, REFUGEES, VULNERABLE PEOPLE AND OTHERS AT RISK OF BECOMING HOMELESS IN LANCASTER AND THE SURROUNDING AREA, IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT LIMITED TO PROVIDING ACCOMMODATION AND OTHER SUPPORT AND ASSISTANCE.

To provide and maintain the village hall

We are a Womens Institute and own our own property and this provides facilities for the following activities, lunches for the senior citizens of Parbold and the surrounding areas, a meeting place and entertainment for the communities of the area and this helps us raise funds for the maintenance of our hall, a club and disco for the youth of the area, a hall for activities such as yoga, keep fit

Chorley Wanderers Junior Football Club (CWJFC) currently (as at January 2019) supports several boys' football teams ranging from under-7s to under 16s. All teams are managed by qualified coaches and assistants who run the club together with a committee of volunteers in various roles. There are also social activities involving parents and families.

To educate the public by establishing within the Barrow, Furness and Cartmel areas of Cumbria one or more operational or static museums of transport history and archaeology covering all aspects of road transport.

The Chorley Community Trust has been established to provide sporting and leisure facilities and opportunities for the residents of Chorley and District.

We run a village hall for the benefit of all without distinction of sex, sexual age, disability, nationality, race, political, or religious opinion providing facilities for recreation or other leisure activities.

To advance in life and relieve needs of young people, and the needs of people who are experiencing long term unemployment or who are recovering from physical or mental illness by the provision of farm based activities designed to advance education and develop their skills, capacities and capabilities to enable them to participate in society as mature and responsible individuals.

Christian Church - Services of worship, Bible Study, Prayer, Evangelistic outreach, Community Service and Development, Support of Christian work in other parts of UK and overseas - mostly in Africa and India, Relief of Poverty.

To engage and improve in underground, fell & mountain search & rescue and in animal rescue; to support safety procedures in associated activities and to assist police, ambulance and fire authorities in these and similar activities.

St Bartholomew?s Church (often known as St Bart's) is a welcoming congregation with a wide age range which works with the other churches in Great Harwood to serve our town; the Great Harwood Ecumenical Partnership was officially formed in 2007 to help us work, worship and witness together.
