BSYW is an interdenominational Christian charity founded in 1995. With the support of local churches and individual Christians the BSYW team go into local primary schools taking assemblies, RE classes, lunchtime and after school clubs. The team ethos is not to preach or convert but to inform and lead local children to a better understanding of the Bible and the Christian faith.

to preserve the historical,architectural and constructional interest in Carnforth Railway Station and to provide educational activities to the public into the history of Carnforth.

General scouting activities for Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs, Scouts.Musical tuition for members of the community, undertake charity fund raising for other organisations.

We support the lonely and bereaved by providing trained volunteers to befriend lonely people in Chorley and surrounding area by visiting them at home for an hour each week. We host 3 After Loss Groups for the bereaved to help them pick up the threads of a social life. We have over 40 hosted Talkin Tables in Chorley & South Ribble encouraging the lonely and isolated to go out & meet new friends.

To promote traditional Scottish Country Dance & Music in the Ribble Valley Area. Weekly classes are provided at beginner and intermediate level; six practice events were held, open to all. Members of the branch are required to belong to the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society (a Scottish charity). At the year end there were 60 members.

RELIGIOUS EDUCATION, WELFARE, AND SUPPORT

Primarily to encourage interest in Industrial Heritage, particularly the stationary steam engine as widely used in the textile industry throughout the north of England. The Society has developed a museum at the Bolton Steam Museum where its collection of some 29 steam engines can be seen working in steam by the public on regular Open Days.

The main aim of the charity is the promotion of the general benefit of the present ecclesiastical Parish of Slaidburn.

Offering appropriate play, education and care facilities, encouraging Parents to become involved in the group. Encouraging the study of the needs of the children and their families

The Trustees of the charity look after the maintenance and repair of the Chapel and Schoolroom buildings and provide a minister for the Chapel services for the benefit of the Congregation and the general public.

To provide resources for the students and staff of Kirkham Grammar School, which would not ordinarily be available to them through school funding.

We mainly work within the Chorley, Lancashire area and provide support to Churches and other organisations. We are a Christian charity and support the work of local hospices and other caring charities. We sell Christian literature, CDs, DVDs, cards, music, etc. including church and school supplies. We carry a large stock. The shop was extended during 2011.

Promoting religion in Morecambe and the surrounding area according to the doctrine of the Free Church of England. Planting Churches. Providing support for local charities and services for the local community.Joining in Ecumenical Services and other activities via the local "Churches Together" group.

To promote, improve, develop and maintain public education and appreciation of light music.

To introduce new participants, both young and old, from every section of the local community, to the sport of crown green bowling. This is to be done in a way that is supportive, inclusive, encouraging and most of all, FUN.

Activities aimed at fulfilling the objects of the organisation include weekly Sunday services and Saturday Bible Study/Evangelism. The church organises a number of special services at Christmas, and on Mothers & Fathers day.ELCC also provides pastoral care for disadvantaged people, the elderly, single mums and divorced/separated couples and helping them get back on their feet.

Arabic, Urdu, Punjabi and Gujrati teaching classes

Our wraparound service supports the entire community. Our community hub serves hot meals, drinks and take-away food along with showers. We run a food bank, baby bank, clothing bank and pet food bank. All of our services are non-referral .We run regular sessions to support young families with literacy and cooking events, and have regular advisors supporting our clients varied needs.

A season of 4 plays are presented in the Blackburn Empire Theatre Blackburn. All other activities take place in the club room adjacent to the theatre.

Sporting Challenge is a family led charity started in 2008 operating in the borough of West Lancashire supporting people aged 18 or over with learning disabilities, where all members of the Board of Trustees are parents and carers themselves. Our activities include: aerobics, ten pin bowling, boccia & kurling, and other fitness activities.

To carry out charitable work principally within the Borough of Trafford, and in particular, the advancement of education, the furtherance of health and the relief of poverty, distress and sickness and to promote support for charitable objectives where so ever they are located.

The charity aims to: (i) maintain the traditions of brass band music and to develop, promote and improve the art and science of the music in all its respects to people of all ages (ii) advance the education of children and young people in particular to appreciate, learn and participate in brass band music making

Supporting young musicians in the Lancashire County Ensembles through funding projects, resources and activities and supporting individual young people where finances are a barrier to participation.
