The Public Parks bequest is for projects within the local parks. The Infirmary bequest is for the benefit of people within a 3 mile radius of the Town Hall of Ashton Under Lyne.

Middlewood Trust runs environmental courses and events on the subject of sustainable development and sustainble living. It seeks to reach the widest number of people possible in order to provide low-impact skills and methods than can be used in daily life, and to inspire people to develop a more harmonious relationship with the world around them.

Fund raising is by means of a house to house collection at Christmas and numerous events during the year. Donations are made to various rotary international projects, disasters, national and local organisations, charities and activities involving children.

The promotion of community participation in healthy recreation for the benefit of the inhabitants of Glasson Dock and District by the provision of facilities for playing bowls

For the benefit of the inhabitants of Kelbrook & Sough & surrounding areas without distinction of sex or of political, religious or other opinions, primarily but not exclusively to advance education & provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation & leisure time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants.

St Oswald's PTFA raise funds through activities in school to which the pupils and their families can participate. Activities such as discos, sponsored events and pop up shops. In 2021 we also started applying for external grants to support internal fundraising activities. Monies generated pay or contribute towards the school's wish list of items which support the pupil education.

Chorley Street Pastors is an inter-denominational Church response to urban problems, engaging with people on the streets during Tuesday daytime and hours on Friday and alternate Saturday nights. We are there to support, care, listen, dialogue and offer practical help when appropriate and to signpost them to further help if required. We work in partnership with the local council, and police.

Friends of Adlington Library aims to provide equipment for use by the public in the library. It provides entertaining and educational events in the library for the residents of Adlington and all the surrounding area. These events include talks, courses, evening events, and children's events. FoAL also assists the library's staff with organising and advertising their events.
