The LDSSF started over 74 years ago as an annual event bringing local schools together for concert performances. The festival develops annual programmes for KS1 and KS2 pupils. The content of the programmes look at the advancement of education, arts, culture, heritage and mental wellbeing of children, with the benefits of singing and music making. The festival is inclusive - able and disabled.
