iTHAAD was established in 1981 and the sole aim of the charity is work to create community cohesion and break down barriers to access services. One of the main roles of the charity is to provide advice and support to local residents on day to day matters. Empowering women to become more socially and economically independent is one of the integral part of the organisation.

Provides financial assistance for single men and women over the age of 50 who have lived in Lancaster for at least three years.

PROVIDING A CHRISTIAN CENTRE AS A BASE FOR PRAYER AND MINISTRY.PROVIDING TEACHING AND TRAINING ON ASPECTS OF THE CHRISTIAN FAITH. PROVIDING ASSISTANCE (INCLUDING MATERIAL AND FINANCIAL) TO PEOPLE IN NEED, AS THE TRUSTEES SEE FIT.CO-OPERATING WITH AND SUPPORTING OTHER CHRISTIAN ORGANISATIONS.

The club is open to the general public not just the elderly - bingo, outings/trips, advice, concerts, police & fire surgeries, toe nail cutting service, craft class, room hire, meetings. A general warm welcome for coffee/tea, chat, company & companionship. All work is voluntary.

We working with everyone in the areas of Tanterton and nearby Ingol. We work with the community and host community events to support the community.

GRANTS TO STUDENTS

We look after the funds of the charity and give income for special projects at St Pauls C of E School.We have not made any grants to the School since 2009 as the treasurer was ill and died 2 years ago, but things are getting sorted out now with some new trustees and we will be making grants for the school from the income within the next year.

Our charity supports Blessed Trinity College in any way it can, financially and socially by holding events to raise money both for our College and our newly restored chapel. We also donate money to past students to support various activities they are undertaking. This might be sporting events, charitable events or gap year activities etc. We provide financial help for the relief of poverty.

To provide for charitable purposes only, transport for the benefit of the people of the Lancashire Lune Valley and South Cumbria areas who are in specific need by reason of their age, youth, poverty, illness or disability.

To organise events and activities to enhance the school life of our pupils. We also raise money to fund non-essential school activities and provide additional school resources.

Taking into account the Charity Commission's guidance on public benefit, The Friends set out to raise as much money as possible through its various fund raising events to purchase goods or services to support the work of the school and thereby enhance the education of its pupils.
