REDEEM HOUSE MINISTRY IS A CHRIST-CENTRED MINISTRY DESIGNED TO REDEEM, RESTORE, REVIVE, AND REACH OUR COMMUNITY AS WELL AS THE WORLD BY REBUILDING, EQUIPPING AND EMPOWERING PEOPLE THROUGH ANOINTED PREACHING AND TEACHING.

The objects are, for the public benefit:1 to advance, improve, develop and maintain public education in, and the appreciation and enjoyment of music by any means the Trustees see fit, including the provision of rehearsal facilities, the presentation of public concerts and recitals and other musical activities2 to further such exclusively charitable purposes as the Trustees shall think fit.

Employment of three workers to work caring for abandoned children, and overseeing our projects, which include support financially for an old peoples home, three schools, two in gypsy villages, citys youth club, pensioners club, and two hospitals. Also providing practical support and donated goods.

The operation of a Village Hall.

We raise money all year to enable us to take between 300-350 pensioners on a day out in summer also to provide a Christmas dinner.

Social work without accomodation

Publication of a literary and periodical magazine called Stand which promotes literary events and makes donations to bodies with similar aims and objectives.

Help and support given to Unitarian congregations and individuals in the Yorkshire and Humberside region. Sharing of worship, discussions and social activity.Grants made to children and adults attending national Unitarian activities. Grants for worship studies courses for lay preachers across the district. Donation to Send a child to Hucklow charity. Grant towards maintaining church premises.

We exist to develop greater interest in our museums the funds we raise are used to buy artifacts, pictures etc which Leeds City Council cannot purchase from its own funds

To promote the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potential, as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of their local, national and international communities. We aim toachieve this by providing an enjoyable and attractive scheme of progressive training, based on the Scout Promise and Law, and guided by adult leadership

The Trust seeks to promote schemes of lasting benefit to people in mining and former mining communities in the Yorkshire area within the objects of the CISWO charity and which may be determined from time to time by the CISWO charity.

Our activities include fundraising for the bursary scheme we offer to women studying or aiming to study in non-traditional areas for women. Bursaries are granted across Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Yorkshire. We also deliver outreach and support to organisations helping to promote STEM subjects and careers to girls and women in South yorkshire

The aim of the church is to glorify God and to exalt the Lord Jesus Christ who is the Head of the Church and which is his Body. This objective will be pursued in the following ways:a.) By the undiluted Word of God, corporate worship, prayer and praise.b.) By seeking to proclaim to the whole world the gospel of Jesus Christ through faith in Christ alone.

Charity makes grants for religious and other charitable work of Church of England in ecclesiastical parish of Leeds City.

We maintain a local and family history collection of objects, books, photographs and local history archive material from which we provide a service to the public via attendance at the local library, at events and fairs. We encourage interest in conserving and preserving the historical built environment and in improvements to the quality of new planning and buildings.

1. The advancement of the Christian faith through preaching and teaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This includes our Sunday services and and a variety of church activities involving children, youth and adults.2. Supporting people in need.

Provide subsidised accommodation to elderly persons in the local area consisting of six houses.

Friends of Thorner PTA are committed to raise money to support Thorner Church of England Primary School and enhance the provision for the young people who attend the school. The committee consists of 7 people who work hard to provide events throughout the year which are a social draw for the school community.

Through the establishment of bands in the Ilkley and North Bradford areas, to advance, improve, develop and maintain public education in, and appreciation of, the art and science of music in all its aspects by any means the trustees see fit, including through the presentation of public concerts and recitals.

The rescue and re homing where possible of stray, abandoned and unwanted animals.

The trustees continue their policy of assisting former employees and dependents of Homfray & Co Ltd and Ness Hall Ltd. About 70% of income is distributed to 10 charities and organisations, many having links with West Yorkshire, particularly Halifax and Batley, where many of the former employees still live.

We issue grants to support the health and wellbeing of those in need residing in the City of Leeds Metropolitan District during convalescence. Examples of grants are medical equipment (nebulisers, wheelchairs), helping to fund support groups (mental health, terminal illness), community outreach projects and day trips for adults and children with disabilities.
