The objects of the CIO are(1) To promote community participation in healthy recreation by providing facilities to participate in water-based amateur sport; and(2) To advance education for the public benefit in the subject of water-based sports.

The Association aims to work with others to address the concerns of its core members as well as young people around self esteem, restoring moral values and self worth, enabling them to grow into well respected citizens. We will also make links with other nationals /groups in the UK, facilitating discussions relating to new developments in the Federation and promoting issues of general interest.

The study and practice of Choral music in order to promote knowledge and appreciation of such music by means of performance for public benefit. Performances are mainly sung 'a cappella' with occasional solo instrumental accompaniment. Young performers and audience members are encouraged, and we actively support new composers from within the choir.

TEACHING THE PRINCIPLES OF SCOUTING AND HELPING OTHERS WITHIN THE COMMUNITY

To help tackle current community issues (Digital Divide, Integration, Isolation, Environment, Health & Well Being, Youth (NEET) & Unemployment) in areas of deprivation. Reaching out to the 'hard to reach' communities and those facing exclusion or barriers (BME communities, Women & Girls, & Youth) by creating, developing, and delivering innovative learning, social & Enterprise projects.

The Choir gives concerts both charitable and non-charitable for the benefit of local communities and also for communities further afield; this year we have given concerts for various charities including Yorkshire air ambulance,Prince of Wales Hospice(Pontefract), Knottingley company shop. We have also raised money by concerts and other means for the Alzheimer's Society.In 2024 Prostate Cancer.

The Joshua Lancaster Foundation charity was formed to help children in the northwest of England whom are suffering from a cancer diagnosis. Whether that be financial support, gifts or experiences. Also working with Ward 84 at the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital by supporting new avenues in improving the children's experience of their stay.

PTA for SS Peter and Paul Catholic Primary School, Yeadon, Leeds. We run events to raise funds for the school to benefit the children of the school.

Running events and activities in Middleton Park to encourage more people to use this fabulous greenspace in the heart of south LeedsWorking parties in the park and woodlandWorking in partnership with Wade's Charity (who own the park) and Leeds City Council (who maintain it)

Fundraising for the benefit of Shadwell Primary School

During the year we have been fundraising to help provide much needed equipment for the School children including IT resources, music and outdoor equipment. We have held a disco, produced personalised tea towels, held an Easter egg raffles and put on a summer and Christmas fair.

Equine Pathways UK provides equine interactive sessions for children and adults, going through life changing and challenging situations.We off tailor made, individual and group sessions to our centre users, supporting people in need within the community.

To advance the Christian faith for the benefit of the public in accordance with the statement of belief appearing in the schedule of the Articles of Association. Coffee mornings are conducted to create an environment where people feel confident to discuss, share experiences and problems to find healing, forgiveness and moving on as Jesus Christ did to those who cruxified him.

School PTA which fundraisers to support the school where their own funding cannot always reach.

We regularly fund raise for the upkeep, repair and improvement of facilities in the building and surrounding land. We are the main social centre for the residents of Timble village. Our fund raising efforts include annual events (bonfire parties, quiz nights, theatre productions etc). Monthly coffee mornings are also held. All members of our surrounding rural community support these events.

The Community Unity (Leeds) CIO current activities are delivering hampers and toys at Christmas, running community family parties (Halloween and Christmas) and providing weekly meals and support to vulnerable local people.

The trustees continue their policy of assisting former employees and dependents of Homfray & Co Ltd and Ness Hall Ltd. About 70% of income is distributed to 10 charities and organisations, many having links with West Yorkshire, particularly Halifax and Batley, where many of the former employees still live.

To advance the education of pupils in the school in particular by:- Developing effective relationships between the staff, parents and others associated with the school to enhance the school community- Engaging in activities to raise funds to provide facilities or equipment which support the school and advance the education of pupils
