24 INNER WHEEL CLUBS MAKE UP DISTRICT 7, WHICH IS PART OF THE ASSOCIATION OF INNER WHEEL CLUBS IN GREAT BRITAIN AND IRELAND. THE DISTRICT RAISES FUNDS FOR CHARITABLE PURPOSES BOTH AT A CLUB AND DISTRICT LEVEL, BY ORGANISING SOCIAL EVENTS IN AID OF SPECIFIC CHARITIES.

We distribute literature, audio, video tapes, DVD's, CD's and bi-monthly magazine at non-profitable basis to raise scientific awareness in Asian communities. We organise public functions led by mental & physical health professionals to raise awareness about mental & physical health issues. We take part in discussions on radio, TV and social media on issues like dowry system, female foetuscide etc.

We fundraise to give Children with cancer, life limiting illness and terminally ill gifts throughout the year.

St Catharine's Church in Houghton on the Hill periodically requires major repair and refurbishment works to be done, and the Friends of St Catharines raise monies to fund up to 50% of the cost of these works. We organise fashion shows, bridge drives, summer BBQs, a winter craft fair and a carol concert to help raise these funds annually.

Purchase and restore a 18th Century Baptist Chapel as a Heritage Centre for the Parish of Long Whatton and Diseworth. To run the Heritage Centre as a facility for the use of the population of the parish.

To help the sick and vulnerable of the village, and also assist with some education needs of the local school.

Fundraising events throughout the year to benefit the local school children. Events such as village festival, duck race, raffles, craft fairs. The charity operates within the local village area.

The Old School is an ancient listed building and a heritage asset to the village. It is used by various groups in the village as a meeting place, for the purpose of raising funds for its maintenance to the benefit of the whole community.
