Fund raising for St Hardulph's C of E Primary School, Breedon on the Hill

NLHA provides financial and other support to groups and individuals; holds local history conferences; publishes a magazine "The Nottinghamshire Historian"; distributes monthly newsletter; works closely with local organisations (libraries, archives, local studies departments) to promote and support local history.

Scouting, Scout Band Activities

Provision of first respose service to medical emergencies under the direction of East Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Trust. Provision of training for medical emergencies.

Provision of land and buildings from which two schools were operated. One of the schools, Manor House School, was under the direct control of the Foundation until 14 April 2014. Since the activities of Manor House School ceased, Ashby School is the sole school associated with the Foundation.

TO MANAGE THE MAINTENANCE AND DEVELOPMENT OF THE VILLAGE PARK AND PLAY EQUIPMENT AND A HARD SURFACED MULTI SPORTS COURT.

Grants were made to assist and support Churches and Christian Charities carrying out Gospel work and Children's work in the area.

General Village Hall activities, including Local council meetings.

Makes Grants to individuals meeting criteria upon written application to the Secretary.

Relief of hardship for the poor and distressed

THE CHARITY HOLDS 10.7 ACRES OF LAND. OF THIS, THERE ARE 14 ALLOTMENTS RENTED OUT AT MODEST CHARGE AND THE REMAINDER IS LET TO A FARMER AT AN APPROPRIATE RENT. EACH YEAR MONEY IS GIVEN TO A PENSIONERS GROUP WITHIN THE VILLAGE TO ENABLE THEM TO CARRY ON WITH THEIR ACTIVITIES.

Kegworth Heritage Centre is a place for researching, recording and preserving Kegworth life, past present and future, as evidenced through artefacts, photographs, records and personal memories. As the village changes with time, the Heritage Centre will pass these on to others to provide a continuum, demonstrating how the intrinsic values of Kegworth life remain unchanged.

Payments to Pupils & Past pupils going onto higher education

The U3A movement encourages its members to share their knowledge and talents freely with each otherin informal learning interest groups. This self-help model empowers members to create their ownopportunities to learn in the ways that suit members best. As a result, members contribute to a widerange of engaging and stimulating interest groups in an atmosphere of mutual support andcompanions

To demonstrate and celebrate the history and art of Atherstone and the surrounding villages.

In Grantham and surrounding parishesto provide bursaries for youth choristers for instrumental and vocal tuition;to provide bursaries for keyboard tuition and training in church musicianship;to organise choral workshops for St Wulfram's church Grantham and local churches;to provide musical outreach to local churches and to local schools in the rich tradition of choral and organ music;

Maintenance and upkeep of Shearsby Village Hall offering meeting, entertainment and catering facilities to all sections of the local community.

Volunteer work on canals and associated works provide funding for canal based works and other environmental improvements.

TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF PUPILS IN THE SCHOOL IN PARTICULAR BY:DEVELOPING EFFECTIVE RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN THE STAFF PARENTS AND OTHERS ASSOCIATED WITH THE SCHOOL;ENGAGING IN ACTIVITIES OR PROVIDING FACILITIES OR EQUIPMENT WHICH SUPPORT THE SCHOOL AND ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUPILS.

Social club to meet others affected by stroke. Trips & meals out, guest speakers, cards, dominoes & bingo etc.

Repair and refurbish the existing village hall to better accommodate the running of local community events & activitiesMeet the expressed needs of the people of Bruntingthorpe for private & public functionsRaise sufficient funds from functions to maintain and equip the hall to satisfy existing needs & attract a wider audienceProvide frequent occasions for the community spirit to flourish
