Educational Purposes

The Spalding Deaf Club meets up twice a month to help give the opportunity for deaf people (young and old) in the local and surround areas to come together, socialise and talk about any issues that concern them. Typical activities include fund-raising to provide day-trips out and for any worthy causes related to the deaf world.

Collects land rent and distributes to three designated local churches in equal shares

Financial support of Great Ponton Archers School, and award of a grant towards the cost of new uniform for parents/carers of final year pupils at the school who are of the parish of Great Ponton and transferring to secondary school.

Essentially supporting more central Naval charities and locally based charities. We raise funds through Flag Days, Naval Commemoration Evenings and specifically focused fund-raising events.

To seek out and preserve motion picture film showing life and work in the historic county of Lincolnshire, and to make such film accessible to all with an interest in Lincolnshire's local history.

iNCOME PAID TO ELDERLY FREEMEN AND WIDOWS ANNUALLY AS AN ANNUITY

The junior children went on a residential visit to Scarborough, including visits to Eden Camp and the Sealife Centre.School also visited the local Hill Holt Wood to have an outdoor living "taster" day.The school extended its gardening exploits by building some raised beds for growing vegetables, potatoes, peas and broad beans. We cooked the harvest and parents had a taster session.

Relief of Poverty

Following discussions in 2006, it was agreed that age or marital qualification was not appropriate for assessing need. There have been no further applications to the Trustees for grants. The Trustees continually review the needs of the Parish and provide assistance where appropriate and within the spirit of the Charity's founder, Dr William Quarles, on 10 April 1727.

Preservation, for the benefit of the community, of The Stamford Mercury Archive of newspapers, and to make the information contained therein available to the public.
