Charities In Medway

In May 2019 a group of parents decided to form a new autistic group called Puzzles. Based in Medway and covering Kent, we go out every Friday with our members to places such as bowling, skiing, tobogganing, cinema and much more. We aim to bring families together to share experiences, meet others and spend social time with others who understand them.

Funding for All aims to inspire and empower VCSEs to build fundraising capacity to ensure sustainability. It provides free mentoring that aims to grow the confidence of those supporting the sector when bid writing, generating income and fundraising. It also provides face-to-face training and webinars, funding advice sessions accessible online and in person, and fund information on its website.

To provide financial assistance towards education/training for young people aged between 14 and 20 years inclusive, who live in the Medway Council area,where they or their parents lack the necessary financial resources.

Provision of English as a Second Language classes for adults; running a Bulgarian school for children providing education in Bulgarian Language and History. Running dance classes for adults and children. Organising the celebration of national holidays. Presentations at local schools on Bulgarian culture. Supporting the local Bulgarian Orthodox Church.

Living Lively works to improving the health, well-being and quality of life of people over 50 through participation in community singing. Living Lively was created following a Department of Health research project into the health benefits of singing and currently runs 16 singing groups with over 600 people attending each week.

Provides a community centre for recreation, education, sports, social and spiritual activities for use by groups and the local population.

Preservation and restoration of the historic Dunkirk veteran paddle steamer 'Medway Queen'. The hull was rebuilt with help from the Heritage Lottery Fund and the vessel returned 'home' in December 2013 to begin the next phase of restoration. The workshop and visitor centre are at Gillingham, Kent. Most expenditure appears as an investment in the value of 'heritage asset under construction'.

Restoration and Preservation of Slough Fort.

We provide a hall for hire to the local area. This is open to uniform groups, charities, church, preschool and any groups for the community as well as private functions

MPCF is a parent led organisation working within Medway to give parents and carers a collective voice to shape and in the delivery of services for SEN. To be a meeting point so parents can gain mutual support

To provide accommodation for older people who are in need and who have lived for at least two years in the Borough of Gillingham, Kent.

Regular public worship open to all. The provision of sacred space for personal prayer and contemplation. Pastoral work, including visiting the sick and the bereaved. Teaching of Christianity through sermons, courses and small groups. Promotion of Christianity through the staging of events and meetings. Promoting the whole mission of the church. Supporting activities within the local community.

THE PRINCIPAL OBJECTIVES OF FIVE GRACE CHURCH, AS SET IN OUR CONSTITUTION, IS THE ADVANCEMENT OF THE CHRISTIAN FAITH FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC.

Relationship counselling, family counselling and psychosexual therapy for the adult couple or individuals. Young person counselling for those experiencing divorce or separation of parents.Work in partnership with other agencies to provide our services to wider community.

The Centre offers activities to the families of Borstal, Rochester and surrounding areas. We provide a pre-school for children aged two to four and support parents with education and health issues. There is also an information centre, computer suite and internet access.

St. Francis, Strood has the responsibility of cooperating with the incumbent to promote the entire mission of the church in the ecclesiastical parish. This mission encompasses pastoral care, evangelistic outreach, and various social and community activities.

Setting up and equipping basic health clinics for communities.Giving to meet individual's dire needs. Providing teaching sessions. And other means by which God shall enable us.

Health Action provides a wide range of services (1) We provide information and support that acknowledges the impact of culture in HIV prevention and health promotion for African communities (2) We advocate on behalf of African people infected by HIV (3) We provide up to date information to facilitate informed decision-making (4) We seek to acknowledge the importance of the effects of social exclus

Under the Statutory Instrument of 1983 and Scheme Amendment of 1996, the provision of well maintained almshouse accommodation for the relief of needy or disabled persons who have served in the; Royal Navy, Royal Marines, WRNS QARNNS, Royal Fleet Auxiliary, Merchant Navy, Army, Royal Air Force or has been employed in HM Dockyards on the construction, maintenance, refitting or repair of HM Ships.

We are a grant making charity. The primary focus of our giving is social welfare and need, including the prevention or relief of poverty. Grants are restricted to individuals and organisations with connections in or around Kent.

Promotion of Kent Cricket Heritage

(a) to advance the Christian faith and the planting of other Vineyard churches;(b) to further Christian education;(c) to relieve sickness and financial hardship and to promote and preservegood health;(d) to provide or assist in the provision of facilities in the interests of socialwelfare for recreation or other leisure time occupation of individuals whohave need of such facilities.

MOTIVATIONAL CONFERENCES, YOUTH CONFERENCES TO TEACH PEOPLE TO LEAD NON-BELIEVERS TO CHRIST AND MEET OTHER CHRISTIANS AND HAVE FUN IN THE LORD, WOMEN OF DESTINY CONFERENCES TO EQIUP WOMEN AND LET THEM KNOW THAT THEY ARE BLESSED BY GOD, TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT CLASSES TO EFFECTIVELY EDUCATE AND DEVELOP INDIVIDUALS, DISCIPLESHIP CLASSES AND POWER SESSION TO EMPOWER THE BELIEVER.
