Cancer Aid Merthyr Tydfil provides free services to those whose lives have been touched by cancer living within the Merthyr Tydfil Borough. Services include, transport to and from hospital and to our centre where we provide counselling and complementary therapy.

A fully inclusive After School & Holiday Club for children with additional learning needs.

The objectives of the club are to educate boys and girls resident in the area of Merthyr Tydfil through their leisure time occupation so as to develop their physical, mental and spiritual capacities that they may grow to full maturity as individuals and members of society and that their conditions of life may be improved upon.

To enhance the development and education of children in Wales, for the public benefit, by encouraging parents to understand and provide for their needs through high quality childcare provision. Families are being referred daily into the services provided by the charity.

THE PURPOSE OF SCOUTING IS TO PROMOTE THE DEVELOPMENT OF YOUNG PEOPLE IN ACHIEVING THEIR FULL PHYSICAL, INTELLECTUAL, SOCIAL AND SPIRITUAL POTENTIALS, AS INDIVIDUALS, AS RESPONSIBLE CITIZENS AND AS MEMBERS OF THEIR LOCAL, NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITIES.

Weekly public church meetings and midweek meetings for adults and youth.Weekly mums and toddlers group.Weekly group for children with additional needs.Monthly Afternoon Tea for over 60s.The Beresford Centre, provides counselling help and support to those suffering distress related to unexpected pregnancy, termination, baby loss etc.

We offer women the best opportunity to make an impact to influence local, national and world issues affecting the social economic and environmental life of families and communities and to learn new and traditional skills.

The activities and objects of the charity are specifically to provide high quality affordable childcare that enhances the development, care and education of pre school children, in a safe and stimulating environment, where they can learn through play in partnership with parents and carers. The playgroup is in Treharris within the County Borough of Merthyr Tydfil.

To make education grant payments for charitable purposes in accordance with objectives and rules of fund.

Oxygen and other therapies for people with Multiple Sclerosis and other conditions

We are a child care provision for out of hours, for example, breakfast, Afterschool and Holiday club.

Central Glamorgan Girlguiding is part of Girlguiding UK - Girls can do anything. Within Guiding through fun, adventure and as safe space girls discover their potential and develop skills for adulthood. Through numerous activities, teamwork, leadership, and discussions. It helps them develop the skills and confidence and to make a difference to the world around them.

Teaching, study, practice and the observance of moral discipline all within the Mahayana Buddhist tradition of Atisha and Je Tsongkhapa as taught by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, the Founder of the New Kadampa Tradition - International Kadampa Buddhist Union, through the continuous implementation of the three New Kadampa Tradition Study Programmes.

The charity's objectives are to care for sick and injured chelonia, to prevent cruelty and to inform and educate the public with regard to the legalities of tortoise care and ownership.

We aim to advance the Christian religion in the sphere of marriage and family life, to promote conditions in society favourable to stable family life and the protection of children, and to help those whose family life has met with adversity.

The Charity's objects are specifically to relieve those in need by reason of youth, age, ill health, disability and financial hardship in Merthyr and Cynon Valley area, although this area may be extended to the adjoining communities if necessary. The Charity provides a 3 day supply of non perishable supply boxes to beneficiaries either directly or through agency partners approved by the Trustees.

We welcome parents /carers who want to become directly involved in the activities of the provision and provide opportunities to do so.

Activities of the charity are to relieve the needs of children, young people and families who are in need by reason of age, youth, disability, ill health, financial hardship or social economic circumstances including the provision of advice, information, education and training, mediation, counselling and support services as well as helping people meet their own needs in society.

The aim of the Cylch Meithrin is to promote the education and development of children from two years old to school age. At the Cylch Meithrin children have the opportunity to enjoy the company of other children and learn through play with competent, friendly and enthusiastic staff. Our activities offer children a smooth journey to Welsh-medium education enabling them to become bilingual.
