The Society is a voluntary organisation open to everyone.Its main purpose is to advance the enhancement, protection and conservation of the countryside and other amenities of the Brecon Beacons National Park for the benefit of the public, working with other public bodies in England and Wales.The Society also runs a series of guided walks throughout the year.

We find single person accommodation in the private sector for veterans who are or at risk of being homeless or in prison and provide ongoing support during their tenancy for problems that led to their situation or with their tenancy or benefits. We are the main delivery organisation for the Welsh Assembly's Communities First Programme in the electoral wards of Gurnos and Penydarren in the County Borough of Merthyr Tydfil. Some of our priorities include delivering regeneration programmes in the area and helping the community to become more involved with the local service providers i.e. local health board, local authority, schools etc.

We run a community centre and engage in conservation, community engagement and development activities and projects within Pentrebane, the wider community of Cardiff and South Wales. We hire out facilities to third parties that provide or offer services, employment, benefits to our local and wider communities in line with our constitutional aims. We work in partnership with multiple agencies.

It provides grants of money, clothing, equipment or otherwise for the playing of rugby union football in particular or other sports or games to promote healthy recreation, social and economic welfare with the object of improving health and conditions of life for persons who are under the age of 21 years.

The church supports the local community by having conventions, open days and regular worship.

Maintenance and repair of cemetery memorials and memorial garden for victims of the Aberfan Disaster 1966

Arrange various coach Outings to places of interest. Organise various social events eg. concerts, bingo social evenings, luncheon club, Christmas Dinner with entertainment. Provide transport via minibus to events. Organise short break holidays.

It is a church involved in the advancement of the Christian faith. Activities will include youth work, family outreach, community engagement for all ages.

We operate the Cyfarthfa Park Miniature Railway, which provides a lost cost attraction to low paid and employed people of Merthyr Tydfil and surrounding area

We are a community group that protects, enhances and preserves our village and surrounding areas, promotes the cultural, educational, historical and environmental importance of Pontsticill. We promote environmental improvement and conservation and we enable recreational opportunities by supporting events and activities for the local and wider community.

Since completion of the restoration of St David's Hall a Grade 2 Listed building in 2015, the hall has provided a venue for meetings, lectures and classes for the local Community.

To protect and preserve native hedgehogs by providing appropriate care, treatment and temporary shelter to hedgehogs in need. To provide a telephone helpline to advance education and support the general public/vets around the conservation and welfare of hedgehogs and their habitats. To promote environmental protection by supporting conservation and education. Providing volunteering and training.

FUND-RAISING AND SUPPORT TO PROVIDE ADDITIONAL FACILITIES TO GREENFIELD SPECIAL SCHOOL, MERTHYR TYDFIL, THAT ENHANCES THE EDUCATION AND PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT OF PUPILS WITHIN THE SCHOOL.
