The Association aims to relieve suffering & distress amongst persons affected by accident or natural hazards within the North East of England or any other place if requested. The Society, which was formed in 1968, takes an active part in preserving our heritage. We promote various projects in local history and offer advice. We are raising funds in order to build and maintain an athletics facility in Sedgefield, Co-Durham.The facility will be suitable for disabled use and its aim is to support the aspirations of athletes and be available those wanting to try sports and train.
