When people come out of hospital after stroke once their needs have been assessed by social services and provided with all necessary equipment they are left entirely on their own. This means that because of their disabilities they are mainly confined to their home. We endeavour to bring them back socially into the real world.

WE HAVE OUR OWN MINI BUS WHICH COLLECTS THE CHILDREN AND YOUNG ADULTS FROM THEIR HOMES AND RETURNS THEM, THE MINI BUS IS ALSO USED TO TAKE THE YOUNG ADULTS AND CHILDREN FOR DAYS OUT AND HOLIDAYS

Beneficiary group, Social welfareWe run a monthly support group in Teesside for anyone affected by the death of a baby, lead by trained peer supporters (all of whom have experienced the death of a baby themselves). We also provide support via email and social media. We work with healthcare professionals, to improve understanding and support given and also to provide education through training to improve bereavement care.

We did make up mouth care packs consisting of toothbrushes, toothpaste, and information about head and neck cancer. These were distributed to food banks in local areas. Thanks to helpers in Stockton and Darlington.We are now beginning the process of strengthening the charity with some new trustees and supporters
