Football Club playing it football in the Port Talbot and District Football League. The club has been forced to lease from the local council for 25 years and is now responsible for maintaining insuring and upkeep of the football ground and changing rooms in the village. The majority of the team are youngsters from the village and surrounding Afan Valley.

Christian Fellowship existing to provide help and suppor to all who need both spiritual and physical need

We are a special school with pupils with additional needs. We look to raise money to buy equipment, fundraise for the pupils to participate in activities that they might never experience. We are a small school with less than 200 pupils so fundraising takes a long time. We raise money by doing cakes sales, breakfast rolls and collect unwanted clothes which we sell to Rags to Riches.

Supporting the activity of the Glamorgan Heritage Coast Project in conserving the natural beauty of the environment and providing amenities for the general public.

The 'Friends' exist to promote Youth Music at all levels of ability and attainment and is run by a committee of volunteers who work closely with the West Glamorgan County Music Service. We help to provide financial assistance for ventures in youth music. We also provide practical assistance in the form of stewarding at concerts and organising refreshments at the County Music Centres and Courses.

To provide and maintain a community garden for individuals in Skewen and the surrounding area who have need of such facilities by reason of their youth, age, infirmity, or disablement, financial hardship or social economic circumstances or for the public at large in the interests of social welfare and with the object of improving the condition of life of the said inhabitants.

Responsible for management and upkeep of Playing Fields, Playgrounds (both young and older children) Provision of activities throughout the year for all age groups and interests including:Outdoor: Family Fun Days, Annual Duck Race, Sporting Activities for local Youth.Indoor : Quiz nights, Family Activitiy Evenings, Concerts, Family Disco's ,Spiritual Evenings and Christmas Carol Concerts.
