TRAINING OF WEAVERS AND KNITTERS IN IMPOVERISHED REGION OF NEPAL

A Penny4nepal works with children, their families and helping to implement projects in Health, Education, Water and Sanitation

We help the village communities by offering grants and assistance. Recent projects include: purchasing jumpers and hats for 100 children. Assisting Nagi village with equipment to connect to a water supply. Arranged for six Cardiff Uni students to volunteer in Siding village to help at the school and set up a medical centre. Built a basic stadium for volleyball and other village events in Lumre.

Support activities for elderly and disabled people in a shelter home in Nepal, including provision of foods, clothes and friendly environment.

Go Project seeks to share good practice and to support those wishing to develop in mission and outreach whether individuals or groups, in UK or overseas. It does this by providing training, advice and guidance through seminars, conferences and other networking to connect people with similar vision and passion. Go Project contributes to collaborative projects to develop resources.

1. To advance the education of students studying architecture by providing and assisting in the provision of opportunities to develop their skills for the public benefit.2. To relieve the poverty of people through the provision of improved housing and other architectural projects in deprived areas around the world for the public benefit.

Poliphonia is an UK based charity with the purpose of promoting the classical music of the Americas. We promote concerts in the UK with repertoire from composers from the Americas, sponsor young players interested in learning this repertoire, restore music still in manuscript form to facilitate performance and produce recordings and film of performances and educational content.

To relieve poverty and distress and advance the education of the children of Nepal by the provision of financial assistance and a sponsorship scheme and by such other charitable purposes for the benefit of the children including the funding of building projects in community schools.The funding and support of The Drop In Centre which caters for Street children.

The Farrar Foundation predominantly supports young people in South and South East Asia and Africa in Science, Sports, Education and the Arts for the benefit of others within their country. Currently it is supporting The Mountain Medicine Society of Nepal, the Quy Vout Kho Fund in Vietnam, Patan Hospital in Nepal, Africa Research Excellence Fund.

GFAJ supports development and growth of agricultural journalism, helping to improve agricultural development and public understanding of food and agricultural systems throughout the world. We provide financial assistance, education, training, support and advice; and organise activities including conferences, workshops, tours and seminars to educate journalists, communicators and media workers.

The Mahseer Trust works to advance education and environmental protection and improvement by promoting sustaining and increasing knowledge and understanding of mahseer species, and skills and expertise in aquaculture, by carrying out and contributing to research, by educating and training young people in conservation, and by encouraging and assisting with international knowledge transfer.

We assist children and young adults in Nepal, India, and Bhutan with their education, medical needs, livelihoods, and career prep; including helping financially with tuition fees and accommodation to study. We help by sending them on training or other means of preparation to embark on careers generally related to health care. The charity may assist with early career plans and placements.

HYD aims to advance education, particularly by providing Model United Nations conference and training. We host Model United Nations Conference for students and professionals and we deliver key skills to young people. We are working on promoting the social inclusion of marginalised young people by developing life skills such as critical thinking, analysis, public speaking and teamwork.

We use the interest from the fund to support students of medicine from either Queen Mary College London, or United World College of the Atlantic, Llantwit Major, who wish to spend their elective study in India, Pakistan or S E Asia.

2015 we continue to support education and health in Gorkha by sponsoring wages for two teachers, children with school uniform, bag and books; provided water filters for schools in Gorkha to support the on going health of their children and staff, we funded emergency aid; food, medicine, blankets, tarpaulin and roofing following the earthquake and are currently raising money for earthquake victims.

FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT, THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION, THE RELIEF AND ASSISTANCE OF CHILDREN IN NEED, IN ANY PART OF THE WORLD WHO ARE THE VICTIMS OF POVERTY AND NATURAL DISASTER IN PARTICULAR BY SUPPLYING THEM WITH PROPER ACCOMMODATION, FOOD AND EDUCATIONAL SUPPLIES.

At present our activities are focused on Nepal, we work on physical build projects and where appropriate, ongoing practical support for those projects, education programs around health, welfare and anti human trafficking awareness. Our funding comes from Volunteers who will be on the build projects, donations from outside organisations and funding campaigns to the general public.

The people of Nepal are still suffering the effects of a severe humanitarian crisis following the 2015 earthquake. We aim to help facilitate their recovery through the funding and implementation of efficient projects adhering to our core values. To do so, NERF raises funds through events, social media and by approaching donors with collaborative programs designed with Nepalis, for Nepalis.
