To proudly promote Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender culture through public celebration of our heritage and engaging in education and cultural activities that enrich the community, whilst raising awareness of the issues people face regarding sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression and sex characteristics whilst building mutual respect and working to end discrimination

Deaflink NE works to improve access to education, health, employment, leisure, equipment and social opportunities for deaf, deafblind, deafened and hard of hearing people who live and work in the North East, through *awareness training *providing information to the community *Providing support and network through our groups

The objects of the charity are to advance and promote the relief of sickness across Europe through the development and evaluation of novel therapies for support of failing organ systems; maintaining a registry of such novel therapies; supporting clinical research and providing educational programs for medical professionals and lay communities including organising a scientific symposium each year.

The Objects of the Charity are to advance the appreciation and understanding of the arts primarily but not exclusively the visual arts and crafts for the benefit of the public. The charity provides community centre facilites to the local community and beyond. Room space is hired out to various organisations. Amongst other things it is used as a polling station, councillor meetings, resident groups, blood donor site. It was also used as a base for victims who were caught up in local flooding within the area last year. It depends on an annual Local Government grant.

Real Lives: Real Choices supports adults with learning disabilities throughout County Durham and the north east of England in achieving their aspirations and goals through the provision of support, advice, information, training and learning opportunities

NREC is an independent evangelical church, which offers bible teaching to all ages and sections of our local community through Sunday services and midweek meetings. There is also a club for young children, ladies groups and various social activities.

THROUGH GRANTS TO OUR STRATEGIC PARTNERS AND OTHER SUPPORT, WE PROMOTE POLICY CHANGE BY FUNDING PROJECTS THAT INFORM DISCUSSION AND INFLUENCE PUBLIC POLICY. OUR AIM IS TO EMPOWER COMMUNITIES AND REDUCE SOCIAL DEPRIVATION.

The provision of community facilities in and around the Summerhill area of the West End of Newcastle

Apna Ghar is a centre run by and for minority ethnic women residing in a deprived area of South Tyneside. The centre provides vocational and non-vocational classes i.e. IT, English for beginners. Make services more accessible to the senior citizen members of the community with luncheon clubs, health awareness sessions. It also provides activities for the youth community.

The charity works with individuals and groups from the BAMER and wider commmunity on issues that affect them. The charity aims to promote community cohesion and reduce social isolation.We have volunteering and mentoring opportunities, community events and youth projects and advance social and cultural intergration of disadvantaged BAME, refugee, asylum seekers and migrant communities.

Poppy's Light Foundation offers support to children, young people and their families, through holistic interventions. With an additional advancing health offer to prevent young sudden cardiac death in our region, through awareness, screening, research and support for affected families.

Christian worship and service to the local community

We work to benefit the community using the vehicle of sports engagement .

We run Learning Hubs, Youth Clubs and Summer Programmes in less affluent areas of Tyne and Wear to tackle educational inequality. We offer access to the internet, learning resources, a tutor and extra-curricular activities in a safe environment. Our motto is Young People Learning from Each Other. Our peer tutors, befrienders, summer school and club leaders are all trained young volunteers.
