First Act Theatre trains children and young people in aspects of theatre skills in the North East of England.

1) advance the Christian Faith 2) relieve poverty, sickness and distress of women and their families, particularly, but not exclusively those who are homelessness, unemployed or have suffered bereavement, by the provision of financial or other assistance; 3) advance education for the benefit of the public, on the basis of Christian principles.

We run the Spitler, a community building in the Spital Tongues are of Newcastle. The space is available to hire for events, training, meetings, film shows and parties. We support a range of regular activities such as yoga sessions, fortnightly community bingo, a film club, a reading group and a craft group. All welcome.

Playing music together as rehearsals and concerts on weekly basis during school term time. Concerts are indoor or outdoor. Audiences are all types.

SKILLS WITH INTERNET TRAINING. WE PROVIDE FACILITIES FOR COMPUTER TRAINING AND DISTANCE LEARNING AND PROVIDE AND ASSIST IN FACILITIES FOR SPORT, RECREATION, LEISURE, MUSIC, FASHION, MODELLING, DRAMA, AND DANCE.

The charity supports the activities of 5 companies in the Tyneside Area.This includes the training of members and leaders and providing support for adventure opportunities for young people within the Battalion.

Income is generated by 3 ways - from membership subccriptions, donations and fundraising.

Fund-raising for additional school items of expenditure.

The objects of the charity are to foster the esprit de corps amongst all members of the Old Comrades of the Northumberland Hussars Regiment and the Queen's Own Yeomanry (the Regiments); to promote the annual re-union of all members of the Regiments; and to provide assistance to members of the Regiments and their widows and dependants who are in need or distress.

We support the development of education and skills of people in the Fawdon and Coxlodge and neighbouring areas of Newcastle, and their social and leisure opportunities, through research, by organising events, and by collaborating with local agencies with similar purposes.

To maintain the redundant church of St Mary-Le-Bow, Durham City, as a centre for exhibitions and activities related to the history and antiquities of the city and county, and for other educational and cultural benefits.

We organise a variety of events and conservation tasks with the co-operation of Forestry England, and fund projects and improvements within Chopwell Wood. Work is carried out by a team of volunteers, both from our members and from the general public. We also produce information leaflets about the woodland and fund educational materials for use by visiting schools and other groups.

ENSURING THE WELLFARE AND PRESERVATION OF THIS HISTORIC SITE AND ITS CHURCH AND OF PROMOTING KNOWLEDGE OF AND INTEREST IN ITS HISTORY
