The charities activities are concerned with the general support of people and organisations that require financial assistance in pursuing educational and spiritual development and more general needs for the community benefit.

Bawdeswell Village Hall provides a modern venue in Bawdeswell village, Norfolk, for local people to pursue recreational and leisure activities. The trustees work with volunteers to provide a range of facilities, and welcome bookings from local groups and individuals for meetings, weddings, parties and exercise classes among others. It is a focus in bringing the community together.

Hickling Broad Sailing Club CIO promotes community participation in healthy recreation by providing facilities for sailing on Hickling Broad and adjoining waters, as well as facilitating canoeing, kayaking, rowing, wind-surfing and paddle-boarding and aims to advance education and training for the public benefit in the subject of sailing and the use of power boats as safety boats.

Provision of former school playing fields to community groups and other local users for sports facilities and other community activities.

Emmanuel Church have adopted a Model Deed in line with the churches doctrine. The objects of the Church are the advancement of the Christianity by the proclamation and furtherance of the gospel of God concerning His Son Jesus Christ the Lord . The Church is managed by the Church Council which meets regularly. The trustees have accepted the accounts for the year ended 31-12-24.

Still Good Food is working to reduce food waste by accepting donations of surplus food from various sources (supermarkets, producers, farmers, etc) that would otherwise be wasted and redistributes it to the general public for a minimal donation. We have two shops, one in Bury St Edmunds and one in Great Barton in Suffolk.

LWBS provide families in Norfolk and Suffolk with trained support to reach their breastfeeding goals via volunteer-run breastfeeding cafes, IBCLC home visits and breastpump hire. Support with Perinatal Mental Health and baby wearing is also available. We provide education and training to volunteers, families and HCPs. We work to build links with the NHS and other third-sector organisations.

Main focus: charities in the East of England, and most particularly Norfolk, or national charities undertaking projects in the region. Medical and educational causes. The Trustees meet annually in January to consider donations. Preference, therefore, is for applications to be made between October and December so that projects or activities are still current when considered in January.

To promote humane behaviour towards tortoises by promoting best practice for tortoise care, providing a rehoming service for tortoises in need of care and attention by reason of sickness, maltreatment, poor circumstances, ill usage ,changed owner circumstances and educating the public in matters pertaining to animal welfare in general and the prevention of cruelty and suffering among animals.

To alleviate the difficulties faced by people living in Harleston and the surrounding area, Harleston Information Plus Charity provides a one stop information centre, runs a local community website, provides a befriending service, advice to job seekers and a weekly jobs club. We also hold information events in the town

To provide relief to those people in Bungay and surrounding villages in a 6-mile radius who are in need, by providing practical services, advice & support.

Recruitment and training of volunteers. Wardening grey seal rookery at Horsey and Winterton.Guiding and informing visitors about seals and the local environment. Involvement in rescue of sick and injured seals.

Provision of alms house accommodation

1st Mulbarton Scout group comprising Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers. Meetings for each group each week where variable activities are carried out including crafts, cooking, camping basics, first aid etc.Group camps and individual camps and days out.

Provision of a community centre, reading room and club rooms for hire.

To support the needy of the Parish of Ormesby St. Michael, to maintain the fabric of the Church of Ormesby St. Michael and for general charitable purposes in the Parish.

The trustee applies the income of the charity for the general benefit of the inhabitants of the parish of Acle, Norfolk.
