The object of the charity is the provision and maintenance of a community centre for the use of the inhabitants of the Parish of Harling and surrounding districts, without the distinction of political, religious or other opinions. This includes use for meetings, classes, recreation and leisure time occupation, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the inhabitants of the area.

Chatterbox, the Norwich Talking Newspaper provides weekly recordings of the Eastern Evening News. As well as the weekly news we provide relevant information and details of upcoming events plus a special Christmas edition and quarterly magazine recording. We also supply equipment to play the recordings on. This is all created by a dedicated team volunteers and has been in operation since 1979.

We create events and opportunities to enrich our school environment, promote wellbeing, build confidence and empower every Hewett Academy pupil to fulfill their potential. The Courtayrd Farm Trust funds charitable activity in the Parish of Ringstead, nature conservation work in Norfolk, manages Holme Marsh SSSI jointly with the Norfolk Wildlife Trust, and encourages public access to Courtyard Farm. We occasionally fund more general chaitable activity, but only with small, one-off grants. We do not fund individuals. At present our income is fully committed.
