The charity supports Tacolneston (VA) Primary School by raising funds to spend on additional activities & equipment for the school over and above those provided by the local education authority.

We provide a village hall and recreation ground for the local community.

To oversee the management of the two War Memorial Cottages, including their upkeep and financial status.

Swaffham Relief in Need Charity considers grant applications from Swaffham people in need. Grants have been given for a number of reasons. e.g to provide school uniforms, to provide disabled access facility, to provide mobility scooter, to provide central heating, to relieve long term debt, to provide basic home start up facilities such as washing mashing, fridge, cooker etc.

Arranging and operating fund-raising events in the UK, presentations to various meetings (church groups, Rotary Clubs etc ), and recruiting sponsors for individual children in the care of Hope & Light in South Africa. All funds raised in the UK, including Gift Aid, are remitted directly to Hope and Light Community Welfare, a non-profit organization (Section 21 company ) registered in South Africa.

Raising money to support branch activities and national charities of a nautical nature. To assist any charity when its support is to the benefit of the reputation and best interests of the association, and to support any youth organisation with a specific nautical connection such as sea cadet associations and sea scouts

Provide a safe place for men and women to come and chat and to help build and repair items, and to improve their mental health

To care for unwanted cats and kittens and to rehome where possible, giving a permanent home to disabled or elderly cats. To promote and encourage neutering of cats, offering financial assistance to owners on low incomes. To neuter feral cat colonies and provide veterinary assistance where needed.

Fetes, BBQ's, Biscuit Sales, Balls and a great range of other fund raising activities to help raise funds for Wicklewood School.

We provide three units for the elderly with subsidised rents.

To raise funds for specified local charities by means of live musical entertainment events in the Wymondham and surrounding areas. All surplus funds will be donated to the specified charities (up to 3 per annum), as chosen by the trustees at each AGM.
