The principal activity of the charity is to relieve residents of Humberside who have attained the age of sixty years and who are in need of care and attention.

The Charity as well as maintaining its historical building, supports local groups and individuals in various fields, helping groups/people to futher their causes.

Financial support to individuals and activities associated with Lincolnshire Area Quaker Meeting (AQM) including educational purposes. Limited support for educational purposes outwith Lincolnshire AQM. Financial support for promotion of Quakerism and of religion in connection with Lincolnshire AQM.

Pays for additional grasscutting in the village beyond that done by the local council.Maintains the clock on the church - the clock being provided by the charity.Pays the insurance premium on the 550 Squadron Memorial - the granite Memorial being provided by the charity.

A YOUTH DEVELOPMENT ORGANISATION RAISING AWARENESS OF THE COUNTRYSIDE

Walker Street child contact centre offers a facility where children of separated families can enjoy contact in a neutral meeting place with one or both parents, and sometimes other family members, in a safe and comfortable environment.

Raffles, bingo & beetle drives for children. Christmas fayre evening with stalls and events. Fun day-sporting events & stalls. Disco's for children. Recycle clothes for cash.

The Sorby Natural History Society is the Natural History society for the Sheffield City region, providing education, research and publications, including biological and geological recording of wildlife, habitats, rocks and landscapes. Operates mostly in Yorkshire, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and the Peak District.

Children's' Ice Hockey club training weekly and playing games during the season.

Running village hall for the benefit of local people to include the elderly, children and groups. Current main users include coffee morning, indoor bowls, Parish Council meetings, Neighbourhood action team meetings, keep fit classes, football teams.

Provide housing for three residents.

Entertain patients, staff and visitors of hospitals and health and wellbeing institutions within Northern Lincolnshire and the East Riding of Yorkshire

Playing wheelchair basketball for people with physical disabilities and learning difficulties. Allowing them to take part in sport and to mix socially with other people of similar difficulties. Buying and maintaining very expensive wheelchairs.

Recreation Field - Used for football ,village events such as firework display, village fetes, facilities available for local organisations such as Girl Guides, Scouts, activity clubs, cricket etc. Also includes, 5 a side area and skateboard park

Rotary Club. Fund raising activities. Money distributed to individuals and groups, locally, nationally and internationally.

The charity holds fund-raising events in its locality which is Brigg and surrounding villages. It then makes grants to individuals and groups in its locality. In addition, limited grants are made to Lions Clubs International international appeals and in relief of disasters.

Fundraising continued with golf day, corporate party night, christmas draw, santa claus grotto, street collections, etc. Donations made to individuals and organisations, christmas hampers to senior citizens, panto for handicapped children, local schools,British heart foundation,Macmillan cancer care, U K armed forces memorial fund,Scunthorpe church of England school,Girl guides ,Boy scouts.

Provides local and affordable community accommodation for individuals and local organisations.
