Winterton Playing Fields Association is a charity charged with the running of the playing field in the town of Winterton. The playing field and associated buildings is leased from the Winterton Town Council and has to be run for the enjoyment of all inhabitents of the town.

Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers

Scouting activities. Group includes Scout, Cub and Beaver sections.

Cleethorpes Band CIO is a brass band that provides musical training and practice for all ages. The band makes public performances and competes in contests, including the Brass Band Championships.

Provide a meeting place for adults over the age of 18 in order to develop their social interaction and develop new practical skills . In addition the group will provide services to the community. The charity particularly focuses also on making provision for socially isolated people and those with mental health issues.

To relieve the needs of people over 65 who live on their own and do not have any family in the area by organising social events that will help them have a happier life.

The 1st Broughton Scout Group provides children in the DN20 area with activities sanctioned by the Scouts. We have a Beaver section, Cub Scouts, Scouts .

Promotion of healthy recreation through amateur sport for the inhabitants of Goxhill and the neighbouring area by providing a green and other facilities for bowling. The club provides a bowling green, all equipment necessary for maintaining it, a pavilion and all of the shared equipment necessary for playing bowls matches. Membership allows bowling socially as well as participation in leagues.

We continue to support both local causes and national and international projects under the auspices of R.I.B.I and R.I..Recent donations have been made to Lindsey Lodge Hospice ,The Andrew Clarke Trust L.I.V.E.S. and CRISIS BOX..

Encouraging and enabling church bodies in Lincolnshire to act together; for example : providing training course, conferences on relevant subjects, times of prayer and discussion, etc. We also act as a voice for the churches to the wider community, in particular public bodies - working with Lincolnshire County Council to promote road safety. We organise the annual Road Victims Memorial Service

Entertain patients, staff and visitors of hospitals and health and wellbeing institutions within Northern Lincolnshire and the East Riding of Yorkshire

Barriers to education are many and varied by reason of youth, age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship; all of which prevent people from accessing opportunities. The Trustees define disadvantage in line with the English Index of Multiple Deprivation (I.MD)

The building is used for all ages from children's birthday parties, majorettes, POUND exercise groups, Zumba/Zumba Seated, Slimming World, Mosacs club for adults with additional needs, Gateway club for adults with additional needs, AA and NA support

HCV undertakes practical conservation in the Humber region working with local groups an example is Habrough in bloom also supporting community organisations two of these are Grimsby cricket club and Killingholme school.

To operate and maintain Worlaby Village Hall (owned by Worlaby Parish Council) for the purpose of meeting the social and community needs of all Worlaby residents.

To raise money for Masonic Charities.

Maintains the Ancient Monument known as Julians Bower, which is a turf maze. It is open to the public free of charge at all times.

THE AIM OF THE ECWA IS TO PROVIDE, MAINTAIN AND IMPROVE THE VILLAGE HALL AND PLAYGROUND BY RAISING MONEY THROUGH VARIOUS ACTIVITIES. THE PROVISION OF SOCIAL AND EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCES FOR ALL SECTORS OF THE COMMUNITY (PRE SCHOOL TO SENIOR CITIZEN) IS IMPORTANT SO OPPORTUNITIES ARE ORGANISED AND PUBLICISED THROUGH A WEBSITE AND EMAIL SYSTEM, AS WELL AS NOTICEBOARDS AND FLIERS.

Recently the association has continued to refurbish and redevelop the 1905 old post office to transform it into a new heritage and research centre. The association also continues to research local history topics, publish books, and hold popular slide shows, talks and social events to raise interest in local history and support the building project and the charities aims.
