Raising funds from members for distribution to charities. organised youth organisations and those who are in need.

The Trust collects contributions from Clubs within the District and distributes these with any funds already held to the relevant organisations.

To instill HOPE and inspire young people to overcome the ever-changing challenges they face and make life enhancing choices by fostering resilience so enabling them to reach their full potential, to make positive life choices and to take their PLACE in their school, community and the wider world.

Scouting

1. In or towards providing items, services and facilities for Blagdon School. 2. In promoting religious education of persons under the age of 19 who are resident in the parish of Blagdon in accordance with the doctrines of the Church of England.

Concert promoter: classical/light classical, jazz etc. Soloists, duos, chamber groups, choirs, brass bands,orchestras, 'young musicians' concerts (North Somerset schools primarily). Member of "making music" (National Federation of Music Societies).

Fundraising events to support school, ie. Summer Fayres, Discos for children, etc.

The Trust owns and manages the island of Steep Holm in the Bristol Channel as a living memorial to pioneer environmentalist Kenneth Allsop. Visitors are welcome on scheduled day trips, whether tourists, or specialists in ecology and/or history. Research is encouraged and published. The 1867 Victorian Barracks houses the island Visitor Centre. Donations and subscriptions help with expenses.

Within the framework set out by Girlguiding, sharing a commitment to a common standard, we provide a balanced and varied programme to all our members in the Rainbow, Brownie and Guide units in the District of Long Ashton.

Charity covers the Kewstoke/Milton Area

The Kingshill Friends Association organises fundraising and fun events for the children and parents of Kingshill Church School. We also solicit funds from the wider community of Nailsea and use money raised to benefit the lives and education of all children in the school.

Build model railway layouts to the best standards possible within the Club membership; Assist members with their own modelling; Improve members' abilities and skills , especially junior members; exhibit and demonstrate to the general public; and carry out other activities to achieve the Club's objectives.

The objects of the charity are to help young people with their training and education in agricultural science, whether at full time college or on short term courses, by making a grant towards this end.

SLD School - purchase of educational items for pupils ranging from 3-19 yearsWe are very lucky in receiving donations and also running various activities trying to generate income such as school fayres, sales etc

Letting out hall for local organisations for meetings and fund raising and for private parties.

Provision of Village Hall for Community Activities

To advance, improve, develop and maintain public education in and appreciation of the art and science of music by any means the trustees see fit including through the presentation of public concerts and recitals.

Academic Ear, Nose and Throat surgery conferences twice yearly, with public lecture every two years.Sponsorship of ENT surgeons/doctors to undertake additional training and academic study.

Our aim is to enable North Somerset to move towards net zero by supporting environmental and climate focused community groups, by following our 5 key objectives - communicating, mentoring, signposting, facilitating and highlighting climate and environment related opportunities across the area and within the remit of our constitutional focus and key messages.

Fundraising for St Anne's Church Academy, to provide additional resources and facilities to enhance the pupils school education.

To relieve the needs of young carers aged five to eighteen years (the beneficiaries) of age in North Somerset, in particular but not exclusively by organising and delivering educational and leisure activities and events and by providing such financial support to those in financial hardship as the trustees deem appropriate.

To manage local sports/playing fields and to provide social and sports facilities on land owned or leased by the charity. To find additional facilities for sport in the town of Nailsea. To apply for grants and fund raise to support these aims

Promote awareness of astronomy to the public through meetings, lectures, observing sessions and public outreach projects with schools and other interested parties.
