We are an independent local group affiliated to the national organisation. We provide communications support to both official organisations during civil emergencies and local community organisations and events. Our expertise is in providing supportive or additional communications over area where traditional telecommunications either fail to work or are unreliable

The Backwell Foundation provides financial support in the form of small grants to individuals or families in need, in the civil parishes of Backwell and Brockley.

Friends of Freeways is a group of parents and relatives of those using Freeways' services which aims to provide mutual support for each other and to provide funds to supplement extra amenities for residents which includes giving gifts to the residents at Christmas time to be spent collectively on items or activities as well as arranging comedy shows at Leigh Court.

Making Grants for Christian church use

Meeting of trustees December 2007. Gift of money to each qualifying household. Pensioners, widows or widowers. 2007 - 10/family.

Hold fundraising events to raise money for things not covered in the general expenditure of the school, such as renewal of outdoor play equipment.

Charitable Activities

To make information about Portbury Wharf Nature Reserve (PWNR) and its wildlife available to the public and raise awareness of the local and wider public to the value of PWNR both as a key site of wildlife and conservation importance and as a valued public amenity and to promote it as such. To develop an income stream through donations, grants and fund-raising activities to realise our aims.

We are West Woodspring Inner Wheel. We have fund raising events and give the the money raised to charity within the UK and only organisations that are a registered charity.

Provide funds to schools

We record all the main news from the two local newspapers on to memory sticks and post these to visually impaired people throughout North Somerset every week. We supply every listener with a USB memory stick player free of charge.

Grants to parishioners who are ill/elderly. Particularly at Christmas time.

Meetings of persons who have served in the Royal navy or are in sympathy with the aims of the Royal naval association

The WI aims to educate women to enable them to provide an effective roll in the community, and to expand their horizons. To develop and pass on important skills.

Promotion of religious education in accordance with the principles & doctrine of the Church of England by means of Sunday Schools or in such other ways as most trustees think fit.

Hope Church Worle supports and strengthens the local community, with a particular focus on families. The charity provides community-based activities, practical support, and opportunities for people to meet, build relationships and access help when needed. Activities are delivered through the church building and through wider engagement with people in the local area.

Providing information about Waste and Energy issues.

Improving the wellbeing of the elderly

The charity helps people of all ages who need financial support due to "poverty, hardship or distress". The charity has limited funds and is only able to give out small grants to successful applicants.
