Tynemouth Volunteer Life Brigade is a voluntary shore based coastal rescue team. We specialise in Rope Rescue, Water Rescue & Coastal Search and Rescue. Operating from the Watch House Museum in Tynemouth, we need to raise at least £30,000 each year to maintain our rescue team, free-to-visit museum and to provide our water safety educational offering.

Making of grants for payment of school fees and equipment those in the north of England

We provide activities and new experiences to people in the local community. Activities include toddler groups,women's group.craft club, carpet bowls, Monday lunch club, Mens Group, Coffee Morning, Christmas lunch and will attempt to organise anything else that people are interested in if it is within our budget. The Vocational Learning Trust has built a vocational learning centre called The Work Place. VOLT is responsible for ensuring the building is used for the aims and objectives of the Trust and also has a remit to raise funds for educational purposes.
