The Charity provides housing in 15 Almshouses on one site in Harrogate town centre. The Charity criteria stipulates applicants must have a true housing need, be over 60, have a clear connection with the administrative area of Harrogate Borough (as defined in 1974) or Bradford Metropolitan District Council and be capable of independent living.

Regular holding of public Meetings for Worship in 6 centres. Service by Members on national and international Quaker bodies. Participation in work to promote Fair Trade, environmental concerns, support of asylum seekers, Food Bank, inter-faith and ecumenical relationships. Nurturing Children and Young People in Quaker ways, and programmes of education, discussion, and personal development.

To provide an Early Years Setting for the dependants of Service personnel and local civilian families, offering a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment in which the EYFS framework is followed.

Annual Agricultural Show held every Tuesday after August Bank Holiday Monday at Kilnsey, Skipton, North Yorkshire

Poppleton Methodist Church has Sunday service at 10:30. During the week we have a range of community activities in our hall including "Coffee on the Green" at : 10:00-16:00 every Monday and Tuesday (10:00-14:00 when Tuesday Fellowship meet).In addition there is a range of clubs and societies that operate from our premises. Preservation, Restoration and Operation of Steam Railway Locomotives

The main activities of the charity are the examination and licensing of deep sea pilots, the relief of poor mariners and their widows, and the provision of youth maritime training, the provision of maritime consultancy services, and the upkeep and conservation of ancient listed buildings.

To provide the framework to support Scout groups in the area; to enable the provision of support for the physical, mental and spiritual development of young people under the rules of the Scout Association.

To enhance the development and education of children primarily under statutory school age; offering play, education and care facilities, in a pre school setting, in accordance with the early years foundation stage.

Provision of community recreation and leisure facilities and services.

Promotes voluntary activity in Ripon, Boroughbridge, Pateley Bridge and Masham. Provides advice and information on voluntary organisations and services.

Promotion of the Christian Religion

To promote, advance and improve for the benefit of the public agriculture, horticulture and rural crafts and skills by the demonstration and showing of livestock machinery, crafts, products, methods and processes connected with agriculture and agricultural education by the holding of an annual Show - known as the Ryedale Show.

The Charity was established to promote the benefit of the residents of Riccall Parish and adjoining Parishes without distinction of sex, sexual orientation, race or of political, religious or other opinions by associating together the said residents and the Local Authorities, voluntary and other organisations.

Peasholme Charity addresses poverty and social exclusion for vulnerable people in and around the city of York who are experiencing or heading towards 'crisis ' (lacking shelter, security or an ability to sustain oneself). We work to achieve our aims by offering specialist one-to-one support services which provide advice, guidance and signposting with respect to housing, benefits, finance and debt.

Promotion of community participation in healthy recreation by the provision of facilities for the playing of tennis for the benefit of the inhabitants of the Harrogate & Knaresbro' district. The facilities to be made available on a non-discriminatory basis for the public at large in the interests of social welfare and with the object of improving the conditions of the life for said inhabitants.
