North Yorkshire Music Therapy Centre provides a community-based service to help families whose lives are affected by illness or disability. Music Therapy involves active music making as a means of improving physical, psychological and emotional functioning. Acomb Baptist Church provides opportunities for people to discover more about the Christian faith and also provides opportunities for them to express and explore that faith in through engaging in Christian worship. The Church also provides opportunities for Christian service to the local community, a practical way of expressing and applying faith in every day life.

A wide range of educational activities are provided for the children working in the spirit of the learning and development requirements outlined in EYFS 2021 alongside the principles of playwork.

Rescuing and rehoming stray and abandoned dogs in Yorkshire from local stray kennels. We provide kennelling and immediate veterinary care, including vaccines and surgery if needed. Via social media and websites all dogs after assessments are advertised for rehoming. All potential adopters are home checked and matched with individual dogs needs, The charity exists with volunteers and donations.

Religious education

We provide affordable 8am-6pm care for children from Alne (Nth Yorks) & local villages of age 2 to school age. We develop & educate children through play in a safe, stimulating environment; developing co-operation and sharing; teaching them to treat others with kindness and respect; encouraging them to be independent learners. We welcome children with special learning needs or disabilities.

The policy of the Federation is to raise funds & organise courses, lectures & events to advance the education of women in citizenship, public affairs - both national & international in music, drama and other cultural subjects. We aim to improve and develop conditions in rural life, give instruction and training in all branches of home economics, handicrafts, health & social welfare & Agriculture.

Sight Support Ryedale is a charity based in Malton. We aim to support and positively affect the lives of visually impaired adults, over the age of 25 , in the Ryedale area of North Yorkshire. We do this by providing specially-tailored activities and support to reduce social isolation, to ensure members feel included in their community and to offer opportunities for friendship and peer support.
