Acomb Baptist Church provides opportunities for people to discover more about the Christian faith and also provides opportunities for them to express and explore that faith in through engaging in Christian worship. The Church also provides opportunities for Christian service to the local community, a practical way of expressing and applying faith in every day life.

Burniston and Cloughton pre-school playgroup provides quality education and care for children from 2 to 4 years of age. We are situated in the rural location of Cloughton, north of Scarborough. We employ 4 qualified members of staff and can cater for 24 children per session.

THE PREVENTION AND RELIEF OF POVERTY IN KNOTTINGLEY AND THE SURROUNDING AREA, PARTICULARLY BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY PROVIDING FREE EMERGENCY FOOD AND SUPPLIES TO INDIVIDUALS/FAMILIES IN NEED AND ALSO BY SIGNPOSTING PEOPLE TO APPROPRIATE SUPPORT AGENCIES. THE TRUSTEES OF KNOTTINGLEY FOODBANK ARE FRANCHISEES OF THE TRUSSELL TRUST FOODBANK NETWORK AND SUBSCRIBE TO ITS AIMS, VISION AND WORK PROCESSES.

The charity is restricted to work within the Ecclesiastical Deanery of Pickering. Its main function is to provide housing accommodation for elderly people in housing need who are already resident in the area.

The charity was formed to take care of the village hall. This is available for use by the local community to meet for the benefit of all and to foster good relations.

Gay & Peter Hartley's Hillards Trust makes grants to charities that support children's welfare, care for the elderly, mental/physical health, disability, & hospices. Grants are made up to £1,000 to local charities in towns in 11 counties in north and central England - mainly in Yorkshire, Lancashire, Lincolnshire, Derbyshire & Nottinghamshire. Religious Activities

Objectives of the charity are defined widely in the governing document to include any charitable activity.Trustees have considered the Commissions guidance on public benefit & currently Trustees policy is to benefit charities specialising in cancer relief & research,those particularly involved with hospices,those involved in arts & also a wider range of charities based in & around Leeds,WYorks.

To further or benefit the residents of Bubwith and the neighbourhood by associating together the said residents and the local authorities voluntary and other organisations in a common effort to advance education and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure time occupation with the objective of improving the conditions of life for the residents.

Organise Christian arts festivals incorporating all forms of all artistic expression by Christian artists (including, but without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing, music, drama, dance, painting and sculpture) with the aim of using artisitic expression to spread the Christian gospel.

Our aim is to identify homeless Veterans living rough or in unsatisfactory accommodation . We then arrange suitable, sustainable accommodation in an individual or shared living environement,which ensures the candidate can access other relevant charities. A home provides a platform from which to access employment, medical and other welfare benefits with the assistance of our charity

Pre-school provision for children aged 2 years to school age in the Monk Fryston / Hillam area

We are committed to enabling as many people as possible to worship at our churches and become part of our parish community. Our services and worship put faith into practice through prayer, scripture, music and sacrament. We offer a sacred space for prayer and contemplation. Pastoral work, teaching and promoting of Christianity through sermons, courses and small groups, meetings and literature.

The charity sells a wide range of goods donated by members of the public in its shop and gives all the profits back to people in need in the local community. Everyone who works in the shop is a volunteer, we have no paid staff.We also work with the local job centre and give valuable work experience and training to people hoping to get back into paid work.

As per the Deed of Union (1932). Locally, to provide to the general public and community access to Christian religious activity, and to provide premises for use of the wider local community for social and community use. To support the wider mission and work of the Methodist Church and other caring charities in the UK and abroad as a practical expression of its religious belief and faith in action.

We run participatory music sessions and projects for older, isolated and vulnerable people in care and community settings across York. We also run a large programme of intergenerational events and activities, which bring together beneficiaries with local school-children and students. We provide free transport for anyone who needs it and are supported by a team of dedicated volunteers.

THE AIM OF THE PRE-SCHOOL IS TO ENHANCE THE DEVELOPMENT AND EDUCATION OF CHILDREN, PRIMARILY UNDER THE STATUTORY SCHOOL AGE BY ENCOURAGING PARENTS TO UNDERSTAND AND PROVIDE FOR THE NEEDS OF THEIR CHILDREN. WE OFFER APPROPRIATE PLAY FACILITIES AND STUDY THE NEEDS AND DEVELOPMENT OF THE CHILDREN.THE PRE-SCHOOL FOLLOWS THE REGULATIONS SET DOWN BY THE PRE-SCHOOL LEARNING ALLIANCE.

Improving Ilkley does exactly what it says on the tin. We work with others to deliver projects that will improve the town and its surroundings, especially in the civic realm.

The Charity is a General Purpose Charity, giving Charitable help to Children and young people, the elderly and old people and people with disabilities or special needs. It makes grants to individuals and organisations.
