The Frazer Theatre, owned by the Knaresborough Players Ltd. is staffed, managed and funded entirely by the commitment of unpaid volunteers. As well as presenting drama productions by the Knaresborough Players, the Frazer provides affordable activity and performance space to a wide range of local amateur groups including youth dance and drama organisations and disability groups.

Esklets is a small preschool offering care and education for children under statutory school age. We are located in the village of Danby on the North York Moors and serve children from the villages of Danby, Castleton, Lealholm, Westerdale, Moorsholm and surrounding areas. We are registered with Ofsted and offer funded places for children from 18 months.

Foodbank

The charity sells a wide range of goods donated by members of the public in its shop and gives all the profits back to people in need in the local community. Everyone who works in the shop is a volunteer, we have no paid staff.We also work with the local job centre and give valuable work experience and training to people hoping to get back into paid work.

The Charity is a General Purpose Charity, giving Charitable help to Children and young people, the elderly and old people and people with disabilities or special needs. It makes grants to individuals and organisations.

Ripley and District Agricultural and Horticultural Society Limited operates an annual show and has done for in excess of 160 years. The show is held on the 2nd Sunday in August in Ripley Castle Park by kind permission of Sir Thomas and Lady Ingilby. The show covers a broad spectrum of agricultural, horticultural, equestrian and other major attractions and is run on a full charitable basis.

We are fundraising to buy a place of worship in our local community area.

Holgate Pre-School provides early years education for under 5s. It operates every week day in term time, for a maximum of 24 children. The pre-school is popular in the local community and there is a waiting list for new starters. The organisation is run by a committee of, mainly, parent volunteers.

Compassion bases our community outreachAll are most welcome to our Sunday service, our Sunday School (up to age 20) and Testimony Meetings.Our Reading Room is open to anyone wishing to learn more about Christian Science and is known as a place of sanctuary. We sponsor public talks on Christian healing and daily seek to address local, national and global issues through prayer.

To provide efficient search and rescue services, primarily but not exclusively on mountains and fells, for the benefit of any person or persons in need of such services and also promote public safety in this subject by whatever charitable means the Executive Committee think fit.

The Society responds to the needs of visually impaired people in the Harrogate district by providing among other things:- a centre for social activities, handicraft training, educational classes,home visiting,information about hospital eye clinics, a telephone befriending service, counselling, display of aids for the blind and outings.
