Scarborough DAG is run by disabled people for disabled people, carers and those with an interest in disability. The group offers a comprehensive information and advice service covering benefits, access, discrimination, employment, holidays, leisure etc. The service is provided for people who live in the area of Scarborough and District.

The main activity is to produce a chamber music festival during August featuring many concerts over a two week period and other concerts from time to time. The charity has a policy to undertake its activity within historical buildings within the North York Moors, in particular historic places of worship, when possible.

Principal activity is the organisation of the annual Tockwith & District Agricultural and Horticultural show.

EDUCATION AND PROMOTION OF THE STUDY OF THE HISTORY AND ARCHAEOLOGY OF THE HISTORIC COUNTY OF YORK

The main activity of the charity is the promotion and advancement of the Christian faith; it does this through the activity of the church whose aims include evangelism; community building; and worship and instruction in the Christian faith. The church runs many projects, aimed at reaching out to people in the Red-light area of Soho, internationals learning English, students and the homeless.

The charity makes grants to relieve poverty by making grants to support the provision of education, skills and health care to impoverished children in Uganda and works with schools and community groups in the UK to increase understandings, promote global citizenship and develop mutually beneficial partnerships. We also run a volunteeting programme based at the Revival Centre in Matuuga, Uganda.

The provision of a facility for recreation, education and leisure for all the people of Sheriff Hutton

Burniston Methodist Church is located in the village of Burniston, just north of Scarborough in North Yorkshire. It is open for worship every Sunday and additional events take place through the week. Examples include a fortnightly youth group, Boys Brigade, The Meeting Place, a weekly toddlers group supporting parents and caregivers, a weekly bible study and a weekly beading group.

Voluntary youth organisation for boys and girls aged 12 - 18 (10 for junior sections)Provides a range of activities, sport and skills which are attractive and adventurous within a caring discipline, based on the high standards of the Royal Navy, to which young people can respond and which will in turn assist their development of self confidence, self discipline, leadership and responsibility.

To provide Information , advice and support services to enable disabled people, vulnerable people and carers to live independently, and to support the development of user-led disability services in North Yorkshire.

We seek to show love, hope and faith to the children, young people and families of Tadcaster and the surrounding villages, through weekly clubs, work in schools and offering the community a safe place to be.

We promote, encourage and facilitate for the benefit of the public in and around Foxglove Covert Local Nature Reserve through:the conservation, protection, improvement of the physical and natural environment;research and learning for the advancement of knowledge in the natural sciences and biodiversity;educational and social value of the environment.

Foodbank

We seek to support bereaved children, young people and their families living in the York area so that they are better able to cope with the impact of grief on their lives. We do this by running monthly peer support drop-in sesssions, offering a 1:1 therapeutic support service for those children who need it as well as recreational activities, a parental support group and training days for schools.

We run three weekly youth club sessions for school Yrs 5-6, 7-8 and Yrs 9 upward at Old Blacksmiths, 83, Market Place, Thirsk. We engage especially with young people uninterested in main stream youth activities, aiming to support them and the local community to empower, raise aspirations, and give hope. We partner with local organisations, North Yorkshire Youth, police and schools.

The charity's objects are to provide the necessary facilities for daily care, recreation and education of children during out of hours and school holidays and to advance the education and training of staff in the provision of these facilities.
