PROVISION OF FUNDING FOR CHARITIES AND CHARITABLE CAUSES WITHIN THE AREA OF BENEFIT

To provide affordable community transport to organisations and inhabitants of Thirsk, Sowerby and District. Particularly those in need, including the young, disabled and elderly.

Ryther Village Hall provides a venue for activities for the inhabitants of Ryther and the surrounding villages.Activities can range from childrens parties, birthday celebrations, classes for dancing etc, to table tennis, badminton, meetings, bingo, dances etc.The hall can be hired by individuals or organisations on a regular or one off basis.The committee also organises Village events.

Lectures, surveys and guides; drawing maps and plans; publishing a journal, books, pamphlets, papers and reports; monitoring local plans, planning applications and legislation; guided outings; fund raising; use of donations to purchase and conserve historical documents; support for the repair of historic buildings not in private ownership, local conservation initiatives and historical research..

The Group runs a Cub pack and a Scout troop providing activities for young people between the ages of 8 and 15.

Maintain the village hall for the benefit of villagers.

Supply and regulation of potable water to the village Melmerby.

1. To provide a community centre wherein-in all members of the community may meet and to provide and maintain the grounds and buildings for this purpose.2. To provide facilities for groups or individuals to hire the building for meetings, fundraising events, social activities etc. The rents from this to provide funds for upkeep of the centre.

THE PRINCIPLE OBJECTIVE OF THE CHARITY IS THE RELIEF OF POVERTY AND HARDSHIP AND IN PARTICULAR THE RELIEF OF YOUNG CHILDREN AND THE VULNERABLE. THIS IS ACHIEVED BY THE PAYMENT OF DONATIONS TO THOSE CONSIDERED WORTHY.

Village Hall - To provide a venue for the community for activities such as Village events, Local club's meeting place etc.

To provide living accomodation for 4 persons or Couples to persons who have lived in the in the parishes of Kettlewell & Starbotton, Conistone& kilnsey, Buckden .

To provide clothing and ancillary assistance to needy children of families resident in the area covered by the former Scarborough Divisional Executive and normally attending publicly maintained schools in the said area.Such assistance shall terminate at the end of the year in which children attain their 18th birthday or when the familiy circumstances are deemed to no longer warrant assistance.

Focal point of Burton-cum-Walden community.

YSES gives grants to young people mainly from Yorkshire to enable them to experience expeditions. Where expeditions have an adventure, education and community focus.

The charity exists primarily to maintain a Village Hall for the recreational use of the villagers of Barton Hill, Barton-Le-Willows, Harton, Bossall, Howsham and Crambe.

The objects of the CIO are to establish and run a village hall and to promote for the benefit ofthe inhabitants of the Parish of Thornton-le-Clay and Foston (area of benefit) withoutdistinction of sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, nationality, race or political, religious orother opinions the provision of facilities for recreation or other leisure time occupation ofindividuals.
