Community Centre

Cherwell Canoe Club is a multi-disciplinary kayak and canoe club affiliated to Paddle UK providing opportunities to learn, teach, participate in, and enjoy, a range of recreational and competitive paddlesports including: whitewater, touring, sea kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding, freestyle and canoe polo.

Activities for young people

Grants to students (post 16 education) and apprentices.Grants to widows of the parish.Grants to the poor (post retirement).Grants to pensioners.

We aim to raise funds for distribution to selected charities and for other charitable projects. We select beneficiaries annually during the spring period but retain minor funds fur appeals received which are of an urgent nature. Our fund raising is conducted by holding social and sponsored events, and by taking part in local public activities.

Management and control of Badby Village Hall for the benefit of the communities of Badby and Fawsley, through the hiring of premises for community and other activities

To provide indoor and outdoor recreational and sports facilities for the Croughton Parish and surrounding areas.

To maintain and improve the village playing field, clubhouse and the facilities within.

Youth development work through the organisation of sporting, craft and leisure activities.Youth support and counselling.

Income of the charity from property and investments is applied for relief in need and advancement in life of persons resident in the area of benefit, or previously resident in the area of benefit. The area of benefit is Lamport, Hanging Houghton and Faxton.

The Club (Benevolent Fund) is a part of the Rotary International Movement, and acts within the principles and activities accordingly.

Promote and perform choral singing

Local Business supporting Local Causes. Local Business Support supporting the funding of small charities and community groups in Northamptonshire. Fund raising also includes charity dinners and fundraising events, auctions & raffles. Individual fundraising efforts are also encouraged

THE PROMOTION OF COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION IN HEALTH RECREATION IN PARTICULAR BY THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES FOR PLAYING THE GAME OF CRICKET AND OTHER SPORTS FOR PEOPLE OF ALL AGES.TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION AND DEVELOPMENT OF CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE AGED 21 AND UNDER THROUGH CRICKET RELATED ACTIVITIES SUCH AS BEING COACHED TO PLAY, SCORE, UMPIRE AND PREPARE AND MAINTAIN PLAYING AREA.

Hartwell Community Centre offers residents the opportunity to book the facilities for personal events such as birthday celebrations and other parties. It also offers an ideal location for the various user groups which currently include PreSchool Playgroup, Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Rainbows, Brownies, Guides, WI, Tuesday Circle over 60s club, Hartwell Parish Council & Youth Club

Provision and maintenance of a building in support of general charitable purposes including education/training, arts/culture, sport/recreation, environment/conservation/heritage: promotion of these activities within the parish.

As Scouts, we believe in preparing young people with skills for life. We encourage our young people to do more, learn more and be more. Each week Greens Norton Scout Group give young people of Greens Norton and the surrounding area the opportunity to enjoy fun and adventure while developing the skills they need to succeed.

Provide and maintain suitable facilities for all groups and individuals from within the village and surrounding areas to meet and socialise in comfortable surroundings.

Running of Marston Trussell Village Hall for the benefit of the residents of this village and surrounding area, plus fundraising for the village hall and other village assets.

To advance and promote the study and practice of the art of dance for the public benefit by the provision of an amateur dance festival for children and young people up to the age of 18 years of age.

Fund raising to enhance the school facilities, provide fun and entertainment for the children of Greens Norton Primary School.
