The Executive Committee continues to promote the study of family history through various media. This includes monthly meetings at 2 locations and also online, our quarterly journal, attendance at fairs and through the Society website. We also transcribe original documents and record Memorial Inscriptions.

Fund raising for school

Fund raising events, including a 200 Club, to raise money for running and maintaining Newnham Village Hall.

The charity awards one scholarship per year for one year's post graduate study in Pianoforte.

The Orchestra promotes public education in the appreciation of the art and science of orchestral music in all its aspects by the preparation for and the presentation of public concerts.

To advance education and social activities for people not in full time gainful employment who are in their Third Age( being defined as the period after the first age of childhood dependency and the second age of full time employment and/or parental responsibility) residing in Brixworth, Northamptonshire and its surrounding locality.

Promotion of art and education of choral music; weekly rehearsals September to April. Presentation of two public concerts annually. Fund raising is now pursued - a quiz night once per annum - all proceeds to society funds.

Provides facilities of a village hall.

Fundraising to supplement letting income to ensure the facility is maintained and develops to meet the needs of the community and user organisations.

The Hall is used for the benefit of the village. All village associations use the Hall, Youth Club, Scouts, Playtime, Bowls, Art, WI, Zumba, Pilates, Martial Arts, Theatrical Society, Gardening Association, History Society. Parish Council meetings are also held in the Hall, together with National Associations because of the Hall's geographical position.

1. Promote the awareness, education and practise of brass band music through accomplished and development ensembles, particularly for students of brass instruments.2. Provision of facilities for the playing of sport within the environs of Rugby, Warwickshire.Awarding of grants to support the playing, coaching and provision of facilities for the playing of sport.Awarding of prizes for academic and sporting achievement for pupils of Lawrence Sheriff School.Assistance in the provision of facilities for education and sport at Lawrence Sheriff School.
