Deaflink NE works to improve access to education, health, employment, leisure, equipment and social opportunities for deaf, deafblind, deafened and hard of hearing people who live and work in the North East, through *awareness training *providing information to the community *Providing support and network through our groups

We provide 2 daily sessions of early care and education for children between the ages of 2 to 3years. These are run during school term time over 38 weeks per year. We offer funded early years places for eligible families, while familes who are not eligible can pay for a place for their child.

The main activities undertaken are youth leadership opportunities, Future Proof transitional activities to move into the world of work, building relationships between schools, businesses and families, cross - sector partnership development. Community projects including Carnivals, Celebrations, Community Events,Lead VCSE co-ordinating Northumberland Holiday Provision for families & children.

To provide a safe, supportive environment where young people can meet, socialise and discuss issues that concern them.To enhance young people's development into responsible adults and enable them to contribute to their community.To offer informal social education opportunities for young people.Gallery Youth will help young people feel good about themselves and be valued by their community.

The Vocational Learning Trust has built a vocational learning centre called The Work Place. VOLT is responsible for ensuring the building is used for the aims and objectives of the Trust and also has a remit to raise funds for educational purposes.

To provide a meeting place,and recreation ground, for local community activities and pastimes and therefore to improve the quality of life of the inhabitants of the area.

We run regular youth groups in Otterburn, Bellingham, Humshaugh and Kirkwhelpington and provide support through other sessions.

Our mission is to give families from the UK affected by the devastating impact of cancer, a much needed break from long hospital stays, traumatic medical procedures and cancer related treatments ? so that they may spend quality time together recuperating and enjoying life as a ?normal? family ? strengthening relationships and creating lasting happy memories.
