We operate in the area of Farne Churches Together in North Northumberland. We engage volunteers to support families and young people in the community and in schools, in conjunction with the local churches.

SOCIAL Activities for our community

Provision of horse riding activities for children and adults with disabilities. We operate near Morpeth and draw our riders from the city and surrounding areas. Due to the specialisms of our instructors there is particular provision for those with visual impairment and with learning disabilties. Our riders have had great success in regional and national competition.

General interests of women

-Engaging in research projects in collaboration with professional archaeologists and other partners to develop a fuller understanding of the archaeology of the North Pennines;-Providing opportunities for members to increase their knowledge of archaeological methods and practices via education, research, fieldwork and training;-Raising awareness of the rich and diverse archaeological heritage

Promotion of knowledge of Ornithology through meetings, field observation and dissemination of information to interested persons.

AIMS TO BE OF SERVICE TO THE CHURCH IN THE DIOCESES OF DURHAM & NEWCASTLE BY:PROMOTING THE RINGING OF BELLS FOR CHRISTIAN WORSHIP AND ON OTHER APPROPRIATE OCCASIONS;RECRUITING AND TRAINING RINGERS;ENCOURAGING THE ART OF CHANGE-RINGING;HELPING RINGERS TO IMPROVE THE STANDARD OF THEIR RINGING; ANDASSISTING WITH THE CARE OF RESTORATION OF BELLS AND THEIR FITTINGS.

Community and village hall

Tynedale Stroke Club provides relief and support for people living in the Hexham and Tynedale area, Northumberland, who have suffered stoke, in particular by the provision of support, advice, recreation and other leisure time occupations to such persons, their carers and families. To improve their quality of life the club organises speakers, art and craft, games, outings and holiday breaks.

We stage the annual show in Glanton, Northumberland, normally on the second Saturday of August. It is a celebration of country living, a demonstration of skills in garden produce, bakery and other culinary skills, art and photography and crafting.

Public performances of plays, as well as workshops and play readings. These activities are carried out in community spaces in Riding Mill. Play readings have been carried out online at times when covid restrictions applied.

Durham Anglican Cursillo is afiliated to British Anglican Cursillo Council (BACC) and operates the Cursillo method within the diocese of Durham and Newcastle. Established church members are invited to attend Cursillo weekends at which they are encouraged to grow in the christian faith through prayer and study and action. After the weekend, participants are encouraged to join a reunion group.

A Helping Paw - Pet Food Bank aims to ensure that no pet in Northumberland goes to sleep hungry. We provide pet food parcels for struggling households.

The Charity was set up to provide accomodation for persons in need who are inhabitants of the parish of Allendale or the Parish of West Allen. Preference to be given to widows. Charity to be run by 5 Trustees the Rector, 2 church wardens and an appointment from Allendale and West Allen Parish.

AS PER SCOUTING POLICY, ORGANISATION AND RULES

To advance the education of children in Tanzania. To contribute to much needed education facilities by building a fully-equipped Primary School in a new residential area outside Dar es Salaam, the capital city. To encourage the energy and commitment of teachers and local people (Jitegemee). To raise development funds through grant applications and by other fundraising initiatives.

To provide a Village Hall for activities for local people

To raise funds for the Selefirst School by holding events at school for parents and children to attend

Objects: To relieve sickness among persons suffering from cancer of all kinds, financing treatment and associated care.a) to raise funds b) to provide amenities, equipment and facilities within the hospital. c) to promote research and development into cancers, their prevention and treatment and the improvement of equipment and to publish the useful results of such research.

Ability Sports and Social supports Adults with a wide Variety of Learning and Physical Disabilities by giving them access to a wide Variety of Sporting and Social Activities.

To facilitate and support the churches of the North east in their relationships with one another and their wider mission in the world. This is promoted by encouraging and developing the principles and practicalities of Christian Unity throughout the region and encouraging the churches to engage with their communities through social action

.The advancement of public education in the region that constituted the ancient kingdom of Northumbria, especially by the transcription,editing,translating and publication of original historical documents. The word 'region' as defined covers those parts of England and Scotland between the Humber and the Firth of Forth on the east, and between the Mersey and the Clyde on the West.

Providing social and educational opportunities for women through a series of monthly talks and group activities.

Providing facilities for Army Cadets and a Youth Club for 7 to 13 year olds meeting weekly., and other charities or occasional meetings

TO RAISE FUNDS TO IMPROVE THE FACILITIES AND ACTIVITIES AVAILABLE TO ALL CHILDREN AT THE SCHOOL.
