Choral workshops and concerts.

Amateur Symphony Orchestra providing musical education to members through weekly rehearsals leading to a concert. Minimum of two concerts a year given within our area to members of the public. Additional concerts also given to Schools to encourage school children to play music.

Hold monthly meetings and fund raising events for women in the community, giving opportunities to hear a variety of speakers, support local charities and give members the chance to influence legislators and decision-makers about local, national and international issues which are of concern to WI members.

OUR PRINCIPLE AIM IS TO SUPPORT YOUNG PEOPLE WHO WISH TO ENJOY OUTDOOR EDUCATION. WE PROVIDE ACCESS AND SUPPORT FOR THOSE WITH A DISABILITY AND PROVIDE GRANTS TO INDIVIDUALS AND SCHOOLS TO PROVIDE PLACES AT DERWENT HILL FOR THOSE EXPERIENCING FINANCIAL HARDSHIP. OUR MAIN SOURCE OF FUNDS IS FUNDRAISING ACTIVITIES AND BURSARIES.

The King's School Tynemouth Limited was a co-educational Independent Day School for children from the age of 4-18years. The independent school is now closed.

For the public benefit: (1) to advance education in archaeology and/or history directly or indirectly relating to Northumberland and/or neighbouring counties; and(2) to preserve, conserve and study the legally protected monument known as Yeavering or Ad Gefrin.

We provide childcare and education to children aged 2 1/2 to 5 years old.

Provides financial support to Newbrough Primary school for the benefit of children, parents and teachers.

This charity provides a meeting place with kitchen facilities, a large hall and smaller annex, all of which can be hired and/or used for social activities, meetings and education and training purposes.

Provides opportunities to commemorate Hindu religious and cultural activities for the Bengali Hindu community in North East England and other interested people.

NHR is the hospital broadcasting service for Northumberland and North Tyneside. The Charity also provides a public address, music and commentary service for outside events.

The Foundation makes grants to registered charities in the North East of England.

The Association provides over 50 allotments in Berwick-Upon-Tweed on the Elizabethan ramparts close to Ravensdowne. Vacant allotments are allocated on a first-come first-served basis to residents of Berwick and the surrounding area. We advance the understanding and appreciation of the arts, in particular film and media arts; organise, run or arrange screenings of films, media arts and allied visual exhibition in a manner which allows wide accessibility; promote study and appreciation of film and media arts through exhibitions, lectures, workshops, discussions and in any other way we choose.

Our new Community Hall opened in January 2010 and has operated successfully for the benefit of the community since then. The Charity is now concerned with the running of the hall having completed it's main objective of raising the funds for construction.

WE PROVIDE FREE DRIVEN TRANSPORT FOR ALL CANCER PATIENTS TO ANY CANCER RELATED APPOINTMENT. ALL MAJOR HOSPITALS ARE APPROX 100 MILE RADIUS OF BERWICK-UPON-TWEED.

Recreation, leisure pursuits, Childrens play area. Our current groups are:Woman's Institute, Historical Society, Carpet Bowls club, Flower Show, Parish CouncilMeetings.

Village Hall.This is for the use of the whole community for social,sporting.educational and fund raising purposes.

Working with children between 6 & 16 years of age teaching skills and citizenship as laid down by the Scout Association

Bursaries are available to students resident within the Parishes of Cartington, Hepple, Hesleyhurst, Rothbury, Snitter, Thropton and Tosson and the parts of the Parishes of Brinkburn, Hollinghill and Netherton that lie within the Ancient Parish of Rothbury.Applicants should be from 18 years to under the age of 25 (at 1st October of the current year) and pursuing a course of Higher Education.
