Orchestral playing

We operate in the area of Farne Churches Together in North Northumberland. We engage volunteers to support families and young people in the community and in schools, in conjunction with the local churches.

The charity provides facilities for outside bowling on its self maintained bowling green in Wooler. The club enters County wide completions and plays friendly games regularly with other clubs in the North East. There is a clubhouse with basic catering facilities, changing rooms and a storage room. All are welcome to join the club, beginners are welcome and will be given tuition at no charge.

To provide a venue for the inhabitants of the parish of Branxton without the distinction of political religious or other opinions, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants.

We provide a focal point for people in their third age wishing to benefit from continued education, emphasizing self-help. We provide a framework for people with similar interests to form Interest Groups. These people include those with a lifelong involvement in a subject, plus those whose careers took them elsewhere but have always held an interest which they only now have the time to develop.

Village Hall - providing facilities for local interest & community groups , Over 60s, Youth Club, Parish Council, Churches, Coffee morning, Post Office outreach service, craft groups, WI, Parties & functions.

The object of the charity is to help relieve patients resident in the area covered by Belford Medical Practice, who are sick,convalescent, disabled handicapped or infirm, by the provision of equipment and services not normally available through NHS funding; and to protect and preserve the good health of those so resident. The charity depends for its funding on donations and money-raising events.

Provides recreation for senior citizens in the form of somewhere to meet, play snooker, watch television, use library and socialise, generally over a cup of tea and light refreshment.Providing the opportunity to play competitive snooker or billiards, in the two local leagues with people of like age.

Nenthead Village Hall Committee carry out the upkeep of the hall through voluntary work including general maintenance and cleaning. We strive to raise money through fundraising, hiring out the hall as well as through organising functions offering catering and licenced bars, this helps with payment of annual electricity & heating bills, as well as insurances, licences etc for the hall.

Remembering the Past, Resourcing the Future is an innovative, user-led project to create a web-based community history of 20th century North Tyneside and its surrounding areas, based on the memories of older people. Material collected by RPRF is disseminated to local schools in various forms to support the local history element of the national curriculum.

This charity will raise money through community fundraising events and the securing of grants to support and enhance the education and experience of all pupil attending this school . It will work closely with all families, carers, school community and the wider community.

Published 8 books relating to heritage in Howick and surrounding area. Run events to commemorate important dates in local history. Researched the origins and raised funds for the restoration of Boulmer Memorial Hall. Exhibition in local museum on Howick's WW1 stories. A set of community kneelers in church, created by locals & radio plays broadcast. Profits for education & local heritage projects.

Since the temporary closure of the Rothbury Community Ward the Coquetdale League of Friends continues to support the local health services and their patients in the community with equipment and services to enhance the provision and access to health care in this very rural area. We look forward to the re opening of the ward planned for 2022.
